I don’t think so Birds, as it’s information that would have been published on the department’s webpage when she was employed there.

Looks like the Fiveclouds pub had a visit today Grin

Love it Grin

FlawedAmazon · 06/01/2019 21:02

They're going to posting updates on Twitter apparently. Looking forward to that Grin

Popchyk · 06/01/2019 21:06

15 of them. Grin

HumberElla · 06/01/2019 21:20

Ha! 15? Bloody Brilliant!
And yes, another one here who thought it so very refreshing to see a defiant, confident, smiling woman represented in the media for a change.

Popchyk · 06/01/2019 21:22

Hang on, I see the issue here.

It is cos these lasses are Northern.

According to non-binary Meg-John Barker, academic researcher of Specious Twattery, northern women are strong and aggressive.

This would never have happened in Guildford where women would be naturally more caring and nurturing of blokes crying in pubs at the sight of a T-shirt.

Gosh, they've actually made a correct observation. Had to happen sometime, says this proud Northern lass. Grin

UnWilly · 06/01/2019 22:45

If Adult Human Female isn't an inclusive enough message for a t-shirt, perhaps one saying Gender Non-Confirming Adult would be more acceptable.

Because that would be pretty much anyone and everyone I reckon

UnWilly · 06/01/2019 22:46

Although then no-one would be a unique and special individual

UnWilly · 06/01/2019 22:50

Or Gender Non-Confirming Human

Whichever sounds better Grin

UnWilly · 06/01/2019 22:51

Conforming!

Bloody spell checkBlush

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 07/01/2019 07:51

Hilarious!
I wish I’d known, I’m local and would have popped along proudly.

Love your mom de plume!

Conforming!

Bloody spell check

'Non-confirming' works nicely too. No one has the right to demand we confirm their gender Grin

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 07/01/2019 08:17

can’t anyone tell me how they work out size wise? I’m a 12-14 should I get M or L?

I'm a 10-12 and my M T-shirt is quite snug, I'd size up.

The hoodie is one of my favourite garments ever, really cosy.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/01/2019 08:39

I was quite enjoying 'johns' comments on that twitter thread

Ok not the comments...more his perseverance

He just didnt get that the women attending the sit in were well aware they were giving the pub money...they were making a stand without attempting to drive a business into the ground

And...more people are going to chat to the big group of women eating monster munch and wearing t shirts in the pub rather than the big group outside yelling !

PutYourShirtOnMartin · 07/01/2019 09:14

John is a Dr Haddock sock puppet

Floisme · 07/01/2019 10:32

Badday did you know the activist and intersectionalist poet, Titania McGrath had retweeted your photo? If you're on Twitter I think you should let her know about your word game human rights violation.

We've had loads of people saying they would have come. Sadly we are living in an age where if you publicly want to arrange to meet in order to openly celebrate your natal womanhood, some men and even some women may want to make it dangerous for you to do so. I prefer my monster munch excrement free. Hopefully by the end of the year our biology will stop reducing grown men to tears and men will learn to be more inclusive.

Make no mistake, in spite of all the complex arrangements women have to deal with to meet, (lets face it, it can be logistical nightmare just to attend a Pilates class sometimes) the sisterhood is strong, resistance is strong and women really will have your back.

Anyway, I look forward to reading the write up of the next instalment! 😁💪

I know I'm 'just a man', but I'm really confused about what the actual problem is/was.
I'm not being funny or ironic or anything else, but I would like to educate myself about something that's clearly upset a lot of people - could someone please explain what the issue is in plain English?

Bowlofbabelfish · 07/01/2019 10:47

Excellent peaceful protest! Did you take some hankies in case you made any chaps of a delicate disposition cry..?

Needmoresleep · 07/01/2019 10:50

ManofKent

Simple. You are allowed to define yourself as a "man". Women do not seem able to define themselves as "women".

It matters...why should we be defined by others.

Many people new to the issues have found this thread helpful.
