Yes, that struck me too. Unless they are of our lovely doctor friend's ilk, I can't think of many gay men I know who would actively go and complain about this if they just saw it about

I think he works in the make-up industry. There are many people who are not transgender who really take their allyship to heart.

Popchyk · 06/01/2019 11:55

It was like the pic of Linda and Venice outside Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Bloody brilliant women, all of you.

hellandhairnets · 06/01/2019 11:58

Ah, OK. I just wondered from the pic. Crying about it does seem like an OTT reaction.

teawamutu · 06/01/2019 11:59

Standard DM woman picture: shift dress, nude tights, court shoes and sadface.

Kickass t-shirt and cheerfully unrepentant makes a really refreshing change.

Double win, badday Grin

theOtherPamAyres · 06/01/2019 12:00

The Mail has done a terrific job with the article. The icing on the cake comes from the juxtaposition of the two photos: a man who looks like he's in training for the Masons, alongside one fabulous, spirited woman.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 06/01/2019 12:20

Yeah, i thought women had to wear skirts in Mail photos? Maybe the whole lesbian thing confused them...Grin

Redshoeblueshoe · 06/01/2019 13:00

Excellent article badday

hackmum · 06/01/2019 13:16

I think the rule is that if you're photographed for the Femail section of the Daily Mail, then yes, you have to wear the wrapover dress, nude tights and the court shoes. (In fact, journalist friends have told me that the Mail has a wardrobe department that will supply these items if you don't already own them.)

Not sure whether the MoS has the same rules - but in any case, I guess it would have ruined the story if Badday hadn't been wearing the t-shirt!

Yarnswift · 06/01/2019 13:17

He was crying? Actually crying?

What will this person do when confronted with genuine hardship in life?

But of course if you ‘protect people from upsetting ideologies’ then what do you expect? (You’re a pub, by the way, five clouds. your job is decent beer.)

An entire generation told that ideas can physically harm them, and using offence as a highly aggressive means of thought and behaviour control. Unable to debate, unable to think.

It’s sinister, and pathetic.

badday good on you not sad facing. You look great. Grin

TimeLady · 06/01/2019 13:18

I hope pressure keeps being applied to this pub to explain itself, both locally and national. It can't just get away with sweeping it all under the carpet.

They picked the wrong person to piss off, baddayGrin. You can be our new poster girl /woman /adult human female

Needmoresleep · 06/01/2019 13:34

Sad face signals victim.

Well done you!

ChewyLouie · 06/01/2019 13:38

Well done for not giving into sad face Badday 😀 and for not walking away from this insanity 👍.
New merchandise idea - tissue packs with woman : adult human female to hand out to hysterical men bursting into floods of tears.
The dictionary will be banned next- too traumatising for snowflakes.

Popchyk · 06/01/2019 14:14

"New merchandise idea - tissue packs with woman : adult human female to hand out to hysterical men bursting into floods of tears".

That's an excellent idea.

Man-sized, I presume?

GCAcademic · 06/01/2019 14:15

I think this underlines just how grotesquely privileged these activists are. The tears are due to their inability to claim the structural oppression that they are desperate to leverage.

Popchyk · 06/01/2019 14:20

I can see loads of merchandising opportunities here.

Toilet paper with "Wrong Side of History, My Arse" for a start.

Needmoresleep · 06/01/2019 14:24

Toilet paper with "Wrong Side of History, My Arse" for a start. for the gents - obviously.

The ladies get TWANW

welshgendercrit · 06/01/2019 14:57

Spot on, Yarnswift It's all of a piece with safe spaces, trigger warnings and no-platforming.

badday you look fantastic and I'm so glad the MoS did you proud with their article. I don't think a photo of me in my new 'woman - adult human female' hoodie would have quite the same impact, but you inspire me to wear it.

LangCleg · 06/01/2019 15:08

Yep. It's the usual middle class commandeering of resources, rebranded as oppression.

I do hope that Mika never has to cope with a real tragedy in his life, because he will have a complete meltdown and there won't be enough Kleenex (other brands are available) to deal with it.

lillyputin · 06/01/2019 15:56

Another one toasting to solidarity, badday Wine

Deliriumoftheendless · 06/01/2019 16:18

My daughter was given a tshirt today that said GIRL- noun ... and then some inspirational type statements.

I was disappointed it didn’t say Juvenial Human Female.

FlawedAmazon · 06/01/2019 16:24

baddaytoquitsmoking I loved your unapologetic defiant expression. Brilliant!

The screenshot letter on page 8 from Prof of Philosphy at Dept of York regarding Dr Moody - isn’t that a breach of GDPR by giving out personal data?
