I know it's from the Daily Mail, but I can't find anyone else reporting on it. I've never seen a woman tell a man to "take it outside" or aggressively kick a display down because they've accidentally been called "sir"... (hope the link works).

I fear I might have triggered the other thread's banishment by posting the lyrics to "Macho Ma'am", a version of Village People's 1978 smash hit "Macho Man" inspired by the bad & boorish behaviour of a disgruntled customer at GameStop. If that's the case, sorry! The song's quite funny, but it probably hit way too close to home.

Interestingly there are two identical short threads currently running about where the MN pinned guide is for FWR postings.

I presume these two threads are not causing sufficient annoyance to the reporting people?

I'm inclined to think that the annoyance and confusion caused by similar but divergent threads existing is less than the annoyance and confusion caused by some of these being arbitrarily deleted. And I also would guess there is a difference in which course of action annoys more of MNs core membership. But as you can only report threads that haven't been deleted, MNHQ may only really see half of the story.

Yeesh, the amount of trans people I've read on Twitter saying that not only was the poor customer in the video justified in their reaction, but the tweeters would like to make it common practice to give misgenderers a clout in the gob.

And that's meant to be a persuasive argument for why women should stop worrying about giving up our spaces?

I think I started the first thread about this some days ago. It was deleted very quickly, albeit with dozens of replies.

The on-board deletion message and the reasons given in a subsequent/separate email don't match up.

It smacks of yet more people at mnhq working at the behest of TRAs to shut down any debate they don't like. Except this one blew up even bigger than they feared.

The "Macho Ma'am" lyrics aren't on the internet because I wrote them. I'll try sending them in a DM on MN, but space/length limitations might now allow this (the VP's "Macho Man" lyrics are quite long, so the spoof lyrics are as well).

If DMing them directly doesn't work, I can send the lyrics in a pdf but you'll need to DM me an email address where I can send it. (I already tried DMing you a pdf containing the lyrics on MN, but pasting the pdf into the message box doesn't work on the platform.)

I know someone who helps former soldiers with psychological problems and what he tells me of the official support is awful. If that is better than the American version (and I have no reason to doubt you) I am horrified.

More misgendering dramatics

This guy tried to get into the Birmingham Pride wristband area (without a wristband).... he'd apparently pushed his way to the front to be with the other Muslim marchers, but wasn't an invited guest.

He found the security team asking him politely for a wristband to be "very aggressive", then starts shouting about "being misgendered" when the security guard calls him sir.

He tries to go in regardless and they restrain him, which is accompanied by much shrieking, its like he's actually being murdered. I'm not quite sure they needed to pin him down, seemed a bit ott, but he did seem to be trying to pull a fast one.

More entitled behaviour.
