Misgendered and violent

I know it's from the Daily Mail, but I can't find anyone else reporting on it. I've never seen a woman tell a man to "take it outside" or aggressively kick a display down because they've accidentally been called "sir"... (hope the link works).

What is TAAT please?

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/12/2018 19:31

I have long hair, big boobs and am a woman. I was called sir once, I was buying a suitcase off the man. I smiled and paid up and left.

That's right, so many women are as aggressive and built like a brick shithouse imposing as the person in that video...nothing to see here...Hmm

AnyFucker · 28/12/2018 19:33

I am a tall, slim woman with short hair and from behind have been mistaken for a "young man" more than once

I smiled and moved on. No rage or threats of violence were involved.

starcrossedseahorse · 28/12/2018 19:33

Bub what do you mean you use the term 'real woman' with your tongue firmly in your cheek?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:33

I'd like to see a video of an "areal woman" (your term not mine) smash up a shop because someone said "sir"....

starcrossedseahorse · 28/12/2018 19:34

Me too...waits...

AnyFucker · 28/12/2018 19:34

Tongue firmly in the cheek and his hand firmly on his crotch, I reckon

TheBubGrower · 28/12/2018 19:35

Yeah that's right, there are no intimidating, threatening or violent women in the world...

Let's tarnish all transgender people with the same brush and use the example of one particularly aggressive individual as an argument...

feministfairy · 28/12/2018 19:35

TheBubGrower
Do you mean those "people" who hit women, mask up and threaten / intimidate women, stand outside places where women meet with dogs, threaten women with getting them sacked, try to silence women speaking the truth? Those... errr... people???

birdsdestiny · 28/12/2018 19:35

They may have taken that right away from me. But I will continue to say I do not consent. Those who remove sex segregated spaces need to know they are proceeding without consent. They need to know what their actions mean.

www.thesun.co.uk/news/8074185/transgender-woman-threat-shop-worker-sir-madam/

The Sun's report. I assume all the tabloids are covering it.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/12/2018 19:36

This is not a safe or stable person. They have no problems kicking off in a public place or in front of children. I would have called them "sir" as they look and sound unequivocally male. If I'd been working there I think I might have called the police. Very threatening behaviour.

Do they use threats, intimidation and violence though if they get called a man ?

feministfairy · 28/12/2018 19:36

Sigh, "stand outside places with their dogs while women try to meet"....

birdsdestiny · 28/12/2018 19:37

Thebub, why can my dh not go in women's spaces and that man can. My dh would be safer.

starcrossedseahorse · 28/12/2018 19:37

TheBubGrower you do know that only 'real' women can grow bubs right?

treaclesoda · 28/12/2018 19:39

I had short hair as a teenager and was frequently mistaken for a boy.

I should have kicked off and asked to take it outside, clearly.

TheBubGrower · 28/12/2018 19:39

My point being birdsdestiny that one individual does not represent every transgender person. Just because one transgender person has acted in this way doesn't mean they all will. Same applies to feministfairy

Terfnserf · 28/12/2018 19:40

Of course it's a bloody woman, she's got hoopy earrings and a pink handbag, couldn't possibly be a bloke...oh wait...

TopBitchoftheWitches · 28/12/2018 19:41

@bub I'm a real woman. 100% biologically female.

I would never offer to 'take this outside'. HTH

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:41

Just because one transgender person has acted in this way doesn't mean they all will.

Right and what protects the other transwomen from this person when they kick off in the toilets?

These are the violent people allowing trans people into the female toilets are supposed to protect from, but the loop hole is this.

terryleather · 28/12/2018 19:41

The problem is male violence, something quite beautifully illustrated in that video...Male violence, even when it's wearing pink trainers and hoop earrings.
