Misgendered and violent

I know it's from the Daily Mail, but I can't find anyone else reporting on it. I've never seen a woman tell a man to "take it outside" or aggressively kick a display down because they've accidentally been called "sir"... (hope the link works).

This person is wearing pink, of course she is a woman!

Yeahnahyeah · 28/12/2018 19:09

OP mumsnet have already taken down 2 threads about this. I find that very confusing, and would love a clearer explaination of why. Sad

ShotsFired · 28/12/2018 19:11

Yes it is being removed from websites worldwide as fast as people can post links. The TRAs have really gone after this one, I WONDER WHY.

frogintheTyne · 28/12/2018 19:12

It's in the Daily Mail, the Sun and all over Twitter and other forums.

But we aren't allowed to talk about it.
Something to do with The Monitors.

VickyEadie · 28/12/2018 19:12

You know how in North Korea they aren't allowed the internet (and in China the net is heavily censored) to stop the people finding out stuff?

Doesn't work, MNHQ, if we have access to the rest of the internet...

AnyFucker · 28/12/2018 19:12

Bumping for the limited time this thread will exist

That was a violent bloke

HappyPunky · 28/12/2018 19:14

Bumping because that wasn't very lady like!!!

I wonder if I keep bumping threads on this subject I will get a Twitter style suspension

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:18

Maybe?

Who knows?

WWWWicked · 28/12/2018 19:18

That’s one angry man.

ChewyLouie · 28/12/2018 19:18

Yes, violent man enraged at not being called a woman. Not stunning ir brave but definitely prone to violent rages.
This is the kind of male entitlement and rage that transwomen want protection from, by coming into women’s spaces......hold on a minute 😱

feministfairy · 28/12/2018 19:19

That poor shopkeeper. And how frightening to have been in that shop with such aggression taking place. Very intimidating.

HappyPunky · 28/12/2018 19:19

Waxy - some men like to dress up and pretend and wank over it later.
If people join in with the pretence then it's more of a turn on.

EllieMentry · 28/12/2018 19:20

I saw this on Twitter earlier.

An angry, violent, entitled bloke kicking off, knocking over displays and being generally threatening.

I would not want a person like this in a women-only space. Why are we not allowed to say this?

birdsdestiny · 28/12/2018 19:21

It's just not working is it. Forcing people to believe something they know isn't true. I wonder why. Keep banning and pulling threads, won't make any difference. It won't make us unsee it Grin

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:21

Not exactly manly behaviour, is it?

Neither is waiting for someone to misgender you so you can smash up their shop.

birdsdestiny · 28/12/2018 19:22

I do not give consent to that man in female spaces. I am saying no.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:24

You can't say no. They have removed your right.

newtlover · 28/12/2018 19:24

the last thread I saw was shut down because it was a TAAT
I don't think this is though
that person is clearly a man, and I feel very sorry for the poor shop worker
In the Sun (I think) it explained that another customer had objected to his language because 'a young man is present'- I presume meaning a child which is a whole other dimension, this guy has no trouble behaving aggressively and abusively around children
not that that should be a surprise

abbsisspartacus · 28/12/2018 19:25

If someone calls me sir (I'm not a sir) I would tell him where Specsavers is and carry on with my complaint or just comment "rude" but then again I was born a woman so I'm guessing my reality is different

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 19:27

abbsisspartacus

That's because you know you are a woman, you don't need it constantly and repeatedly reenforced to try and make it true.

TheBubGrower · 28/12/2018 19:28

🙄 totally unsurprised to see that this has been jumped on, on here. There are plenty of "real" women (using this term with my tongue firmly in my cheek) who also act like aggressive twats.

AnyFucker · 28/12/2018 19:30

Do those "aggressive twats" you are talking about threaten violence unless you call them a man ?

VI0LET · 28/12/2018 19:30

I am a woman with a unisex first name and I get misgendered probably once a week. I also get mis titled as Mrs when I am in fact Dr. And misnamed as people think my surname is my his husband’s, for some odd reason.

I politely correct them some of the time. Other times I let it go, usually because I won’t see that person again. Like a shop assistant or waiting staff.

I wonder why the woman in this video didn’t do the same? I’ve been pondering this for ages and I can’t think of a single reason . It’s a mystery.
