Desmond has quite a little industry going when you check his online presence.

Koalablue · 17/12/2018 02:54

Id like to see how much money these boys parents are making. Child labour/exploitation has always happened its just never been celebrated.
Poor child.

WereYouHareWhenIWasFox · 17/12/2018 03:37

I think the whole idea that he is essentially being exploited by his own parents is exacerbated by the amount of go fund me pages and Facebook sob stories they perpetuate. This is such a tragic story, however desperate his parents are, why use their child?

Hisaishi · 17/12/2018 05:37

fox that's really disturbing.

"Desmond has been invited to participate at RuPaul's DragCon in LA. they head west next week. The family is still struggling financially (dad was laid off as well, so it's actually gotten worse) so they created an Amazon wish-list for supplies to construct The Fierce One's costumes. The wish-list was bought out by one special angel, but many people are asking how they can help, so I thought I'd share this GoFund Me Again."

So both the parents are unemployed, but they have the money to go to a drag convention and to create costumes for him?

At the very very least, a very weird set of priorities.

Iused2BanOptimist · 17/12/2018 07:09

He appears to have no discernible talent apart from slapping large amounts of make up on. I thought a good drag act involved at least one of singing, dancing and telling jokes? I've seen more talented children at the village primary shows. His parents are clearly pimping him around as he has a a "look" that appeals to a certain type. The future doesn't bode well for him. I hope someone tells him about Ketamine bladder while he is joking about the ketamine users.

I agree lused It really is a horror show and his parents should be completely ashamed of themselves.

MrsJayy · 17/12/2018 07:27

Ah Nemis is that lads name I totally read NemisisBlush

These boys don't need an actual talent their fierceness and fabulosness is enough talentHmm

SophoclesTheFox · 17/12/2018 07:32

the wish list was bought out by one special angel

It gets worse. Wonder what the “angel” gets out of the transaction, now that he’s paid to inappropriately sexualise a ten year old?

Appalling.

Thingybob · 17/12/2018 07:37

According to his Mother, Desmond has a diagnosis of autism and his interest in drag began when he became obsessed with Rupaul's drag race at three years old.

I can understand why someone on the spectrum would be so drawn to that programme and drag queens. It's the same reason that so many become obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine or Anime, it's those exaggerated facial expressions. The question is why was a 3 year old allowed to watch Rupaul rather than Thomas the Tank?

Incidentally Nemis, the other child mentioned on this thread also became obsessed with Rupaul at a young age.

MrsJayy · 17/12/2018 07:42

So the parents are exploiting their child with a disability, fantastic!

Avegemitesandwich · 17/12/2018 08:10

They have found a totally acceptable way to perve on little kids.

'Hey, it's LGBTQ ya know, just being your authentic self, anyone who thinks it's wrong is just a bigoted hater.

The people out there with genuine gender dysphoria who were just trying to quietly get on with their lives must be horrified at all this.

I can totally see what people mean about the gaunt look and not seeming quite with it in the videos.... It couldn't be could it? In plain sight like that?

anniehm · 17/12/2018 08:12

I can't believe this is legal in the US, it certainly isn't in the UK - entertainment in a bar is strictly licenced and children under 18 in pubs are restricted after 8pm generally (exceptions for eating restaurant type pubs). The US surprises me - they are paranoid about adults of 19,20 drinking but this is legal?

AngryAttackKittens · 17/12/2018 15:06

In the video from when he was 8 Nemsis looks much healthier. A bit worrying that he's become so thin and tired looking within just a couple of years, and not exactly a recommendation for all this as being "harmless".

At least he's not sitting next to a murderer talking about date rape drugs like little Desmond though. How in the name of hell does anyone think that's OK?

AngryAttackKittens · 17/12/2018 15:08

And yes, the NYC club kid scene back in the day was some notoriously fucked up shit, and the idea that anyone thinks it's cute to have a pre-teen idolizing anyone involved in it is alarming. Surely "allowed child to socialize with newly released murderer with posters promoting drug use on their walls" is something social services could be encouraged to look into, even if they're too woke to admit that children shouldn't be dancing for money in clubs.

KirstyAllsoppsFatterTwin · 17/12/2018 15:27

According to his Mother, Desmond has a diagnosis of autism

Of course he does. Why did we not see that one coming?

MrsJayy · 17/12/2018 15:28

The club kids documentary was horrific it was on late one night years ago on ch4 it certainly wasn't cutesy it was drugs/sex/drugs/sex... oh and fighting

Thingybob · 17/12/2018 15:53

Of course he does. Why did we not see that one coming?

Are you saying you don't believe he is?

I believe he is and it makes this cult even more sinister by preying on such vulnerable kids.

R0wantrees · 17/12/2018 16:46

'Hey, it's LGBTQ ya know

LGBTQIAPK but for ease 'Queer' which is another umbrella.

A= asexual
P= pansexual/Polygamous/polyamorous ?
K= kink

deepwatersolo · 17/12/2018 18:45

What is pansexual anyway? Does it include animals, trees, rock formations?

R0wantrees · 17/12/2018 21:39

Cosmo says,
"It's NOT the same as being bisexual
While there are definitely some similarities, there are some distinctive differences between the experiences of being bi and being pan. Bisexuality is where someone's attracted to people of more than one gender (whether that's male, female, non-binary, trans people, etc). Whereas pansexuals 'don't see gender' - this might be hard to wrap your head around but bear with me on this.

I, personally, get drawn in by a person's 'vibes' and the 'feel' I get from them as a being. A person's energy when they walk into a room is the most important thing here, and I tend to fall in love with overall beauty (which I see in EVERYTHING.)"

AngryAttackKittens · 17/12/2018 21:41

I still read "pansexual" as either attraction to old timey gods with hooves and reed flutes or attraction to cookware.

R0wantrees · 17/12/2018 21:42
Grin
MargueritaPink · 17/12/2018 21:45

I feel I experience sexual attraction differently to the average person. I never look at someone and think, "I wonder what it'd be like to fck them? I wonder what their genitals look like." That thought doesn't enter my head*

Oh heaven forfend you might be an average person.

AngryAttackKittens · 17/12/2018 21:45

I mean, I suppose I could say that I love my fancy tri-ply pans with the copper layer but I don't love them, you know, that way...

deepwatersolo · 17/12/2018 21:48

I see beauty in El Capitan, in whales and in sunsets. Should I be worried?

— personally I have the impression that people who talk like the person in the article try to describe their attraction to either animals or children without outing themselves. But then, I‘m a cynic—
