Open Letter to The IOC regarding transwoman Tiffany Abreu

Tiffany was born male and competed as a man, then transitioned to a woman and is now taking the place of a woman on the womans volleyball team. (& is doing very well-they are after all 6 foot 3") A very courageous lady Ana Paula Henkel has written an open letter to the IOC outlining her concerns prior to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
A brave lady indeed. Needs to be talked about though.

A quick biology lesson for you:

Transwomen ARE men who identify as women, but they do not function as women because they are biologically different. They have very different physiology - larger frames, bigger, denser bones, stronger sinews and ligaments, larger heart, larger lungs, more efficient cardio vascular capability.
Women can nurture an embryo/foetus inside their womb for up to nine months and then give birth to a child, after which they can feed that child.
Whilst transwomen may believe that they are women, no sane, educated person on this planet shares their belief.

andyoldlabour I have no idea why you are addressing this to me. I know perfectly well what sex-based differences there are. Humans are dimorphic. Sport should be sex segregated except where they can compete in an equal footing.

Plenty of sane, educated people (way more than there are transgender people) have a different definition of woman. This whole 'It won't work' thing is absolutely fucking ridiculous. It's the entire argument. Why would you exclude women from women's sports? You haven't the slightest reason to.

Transwomen should not be excluded from women's sport because 'they are better than other women'. Because that is entirely arbitrary, and there will always be women who have a skill or physical advantage over other women.

The only reason to exclude transwomen from women's sport is because they are of a different physical order to women. TWAM, and it's because of this that they have an overwhelming advantage over women as a class.

I do not care what philosophical bollocks anyone thinks about gender identity, it's entirely fucking irrelevant to the physical realities involved in sport.
