Bunbury’s Public Service Announcement 2

The useful Bunbury Guide to Spotting Community Disruptors is constantly evolving.

The best research and advice is not to engage with community disruptors and trolls. As ever, if you suspect troll activity, report it to MNHQ.

This is a continuation of the first Public Service Announcement thread:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3321127-public-service-announcement

If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we’ve had several community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

Some helpful links in following posts.

I find Bunbury most necessary reading before partaking of any board; cheese or otherwise.

TinselAngel · 15/05/2019 18:52

It's a poor state of affairs when we're reduced to "lol"ing.

It’s so predictable really isn’t it. I hope the thread dries up now, I posted the flying monkeys link

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 14:24

I'm always suspicious of people who say the world has gone mad.

BlackeyedGruesome · 16/05/2019 14:39

thanks Tinsel...

nauticant · 16/05/2019 14:40

Especially because it's another apparent teenager.

Provocative posts seemingly made to elicit strong responses in agreement do deserve suspicion.

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 14:43

They certainly do.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 14:43

I agree nauticant

I cant stand lollers Grin

FermatsTheorem · 16/05/2019 14:51

Well quite Tinsel.

"Come froth with me, come froth, let's froth away..." (But hang on a mo while I get ready to take the screenshots.)

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 14:59

"I'm a teenager" is becoming the Bunbury equivalent that "I've got twins" is on the rest of the board.

Another nice day down by the riverside fishing?

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 17:32

Surely that OP breaks talk guidelines?

VickyEadie · 16/05/2019 17:36

I'm behaving as Bunbury would want me to and avoiding that thread.

Meanwhile, I've posted on the Glinner article thread that he's already back posting GC stuff on twitter...

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 19:05

It's gone, so it looks like MNHQ agreed with me, even if all the people egging the OP on, didn't.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 19:37

spartacus

Im willing to make the odd exemption

My dad does it and i love him

I think he’s got it from my brother, and mum kept telling me that i love him as well

Soooooo

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 19:39

Anyone know what the deletion message was?

TinselAngel · 16/05/2019 19:51

Not in the spirit and not started with good intentions.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 19:57

Thank you tinsel

It didnt sound like a 17 year to me

But that might be because the 17 year olds i have hate english and would rather not write anything ever again

2BthatUnnoticed · 17/05/2019 08:01

I posted on the 24 year campaign thread .. either VRR has fallen or (I hope and pray) Rogaine is wishful thinking

FermatsTheorem · 24/05/2019 22:42

Time to pay attention to the wise words of Germaine Bunbury once more...

TheInebriati · 28/05/2019 22:11

Ba ba ba baaa ba ba ba baaa Bunbury.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 28/05/2019 22:30

That tune brought back memories TheInebriati
