The best research and advice is not to engage with community disruptors and trolls. As ever, if you suspect troll activity, report it to MNHQ.

This is a continuation of the first Public Service Announcement thread:

If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we’ve had several community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

I see someone objected to reference to Bunbury's novel on another thread and made enough of a fuss to get several other entirely innocuous posts deleted.

Maybe emojis should never be used in relation to the disgunguished lady's work?

Worth reminding newcomers that not all Germaine Bunburys are created equal. Some are weak ass imposters who are better grey rocked than engaged with.

I actually love Sauvignon blanc. I was punning on the the grey in grey rock, but it was clearly far too low key to land properly.

Forgive me Bunbury, I was looking for the Bluestocking Arms but can't find the flippiing door, so just wandering into here for a quick T (don't do the G, but buying one for all those who do) and sitting in the corner mumbling under breath! Sitting on hands, not posting on threads.

Another faux naive thread in AIBU

Like many posters, although Bunbury is probably wise to this, I'm continually drawn to a thread about a certain litigant. It's very active, has posts by usernames I don't recognise, and I'm left with the distinct impression that the thread as a whole is what the litigant was aiming for.

I'm saying to myself, yet again, it's time to disengage from that thread.

I agree regarding the litigant nauticant. I have been studiously ignoring the thread.

I'm am annoyed this morning by people virtually queuing up to fall into traps. It's like bloody Scooby Doo.

Bunbury would remind us that when we are talking about some things as in ↑↑↑↑ those things, what are we not talking about? Whose voices are made invisible yet again? Who are being ignored yet again?

Could it be women? Especially the women at the bottom of the pile who suffer the most from the imposition of a penis-centred, corporate-backed ideology. Could it be them?
