Lily Madigan has been self-praising again, with more details about how they "sued" their school.

They hired a "team of solicitors", to "advice" Lily and the "principle" gave in on all their "demands".

The truth is slightly different.

Lily arrived at school wearing basically a boob tube. They were sent home because it was against uniform policy. Any girl wearing that for school would have been asked to change or go home. It's clear Lily was looking for a reason to kick things off.

Lily was not "made to wear a man's suit". They were asked to adhere to the school uniform - like any pupil. The girls wear a blazer too and can wear a skirt or trousers; many girls choose to wear trousers and the blazer.

Lily organised a petition. It was an ONLINE petition, quite different to a paper one. The support Lily claimed she had is very difficult to prove.

The school's staff tried very hard to placate Lily. They had meetings with their mother, the pastoral care team, etc - and got nowhere. It apparently caused distress to Lily's younger sister who was at school.

Lily contacted a solicitor in London. Because of the Equality Act the school did have to cater to transgender pupils - and when the school was informed of their obligations they changed their policy in accordance to the Act.

There was no suing of the school. There was no legal action, certainly no "legal battle", as Lily repeatedly claims.

There was no victimisation of Lily. Afterwards, the school said they had tried very hard for Lily and their words and actions had been deliberately twisted.

And now Lily still says that "they won", they "got it all", and that they did all this behind their parents' backs, and then "embarked on a media tour".

Lily's parents knew about it all, right from the day Lily was sent home.

Apparently it is OK to make assertions about other posters, though. ( see @ 12.50 today, and repeated at @ 13.29) Since I have taken part in this discussion, and had my contributions discounted by some as coming from someone who has seemed to be " deceitful and manipulative" on this and other matters

This feels a bit like groundhog day,
I'll modify my post from yesterday,

Kay Do please re-read LangCleg's post & mine too

It seems you have misunderstood/ are misrepresenting what she has we have posted.

There was no encouragement from her anyone or need for you to disclose further personal details.

Its not about you.

Found it. Delta's latest voting intention polling (last week of October) shows a 7 point drop in support for Labour among women since the previous polling (last week of August). Support for the Greens among women has halved!

dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 16:24

You keep telling Lily that!!

Yep if I recall correctly Labour had a lead of 9 points with women in July. Apparently last week Tories ahead by 6pts.

This tracker graph on who would make the best PM according to women is also utterly fascinating

What's happening?

Much suggestion it's linked merely to Brexit, but is it? Difficult to prove either way, but Corbyns personal approval amongst women very much tied to the polling.

RedToothBrush Do you have the comparable graph for male voters please?

RedToothBrush · 26/11/2018 16:34

Yes I can find. Give me a few mins

Here's the stuff I saw on women's trend from 21st Nov

Election Data @election_data
Threadlet: Some interesting gender dynamics in the @YouGov polling. Two weeks ago Labour had a 6-pt lead over the Conservatives amongst women. Today's poll has the Conservatives with a 5-pt lead among women. But of course.....

it's just one poll. But there's another interesting part of today's poll. Men have deserted both main parties in this poll. The two main parties account for just 71% of men's voting intention, down from say 81% in January

So, one way of looking at this particular poll would be: Women swung behind May this week as they tend to value "getting on with it" and won't at all like the sight of angry men preventing her from doing so

Remember that Labour had a 9-pt lead amongst women as recently as July with YouGov (that July poll gave Labour a 5-point lead). Spikes in public opinion, like the one which seemed to get behind the PM this week are often noise. This one might well be too. I thought it noteworthy

nonetheless. And are we seeing something different for men? They don't seem to like compromise AT ALL and are moving away from both main parties? Or it's just noise

I note Lang Cleg said the info was from Delta. That sounds like it's possibly a different source to what I've seen (origin YouGov)

RedToothBrush · 26/11/2018 16:36

Similar downward trend but more significant in women. There's also graphs for headline polling for men and women.

What's going on?

Why are women in particular switching off from Labour?

Mail on Sunday article by Sanchez Manning January 2018:

'Labour dirty tricks in Trans Terf war: Transgender activists draw up hit list of party members who say that men identifying as female should be barred from all-woman shortlists for parliamentary candidates
The secret list details 32 party members targeted by transgender activists
Trans teen Lily Madigan is administrator of the group that drew up the list
Corbyn is torn between traditional feminists and a fear of offending trans lobby'

Maybe Jeremy Corbyn should hurry up, meet with & support Linda Bellos. I understood he said he would meet her many months ago. Linda Bellos and Venice Allan are back in court on Friday due to the ongoing private prosecution by TRA Guiliana

Did John McDonnell ever meet with one of the feminist groups as he promised during the webchat ?

LangCleg · 26/11/2018 17:34

Why are women in particular switching off from Labour?

I imagine many reasons. But Madigan shenanigans certainly not helping.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 26/11/2018 18:27

Because it has thrown out working women for middle class chaps with blue hair and big gobs (for shorthand). They have tied their self up in right on ribbon and are all mouth and no action. They now have the tone of nasty little bullies.

Why are women in particular switching off from Labour?

Corbyn
Raynor
Butler
Creasy
Watson
Streeting
Abbott

Madigan
Peto
Cook

The Jo Cox leadership fiasco

The unprofessional and racist behaviour of many of their representatives on twitter including MP’s.

The entrenched misogyny.

The lack of critical thinking skills.

The unions position on self ID.

Two years ago I wasn’t even particularly politically aware, now that I am I’m never voting labour again. I’m also sharing my new found knowledge with friends and family.

Katvonblackdeath · 26/11/2018 21:13

dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 21:15

That is one of the most RIDICULOUS tweets I have ever read. "Lily has done more for period poverty that any other Labour activist" ????

Lily scribbled in felt-tip pen on her hand for a photo and then scrubbed it off.

OP posts:
Katvonblackdeath · 26/11/2018 21:18

Yes. But dillydally it all took around 5-10 minutes. WHAT A GREAT CAMPAIGNING FIGURE. Thank God for Lily

Beagadorsrock · 26/11/2018 21:23

But isn't that the person whose home was 'vandalised' etc and who claimed that it was because he/she/they supported LM? Must be LM's biggest fan.
I really, really want to be a fly on the wall when these people consider the Communist Party's motion and decide that they're not 'good' communists, or that Communists have always been eviller than socialists, or some other such crap. On the basis of half-reading some course materials (digested - and skimmed - 'cos there was this person on Twitter that needed telling off...')

dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 21:24

And this Kae Smith is from Lily's neck of the woods, in Kent. Born in 2005? I assume that is when they became trans. A teacher? I despair.

OP posts:
dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 21:27

well, Lily is very into Communism. She was tweeting if someone could send her a free copy of the Communist Manifesto. Lily never pays for anything.

OP posts:
RepealTheGRA · 26/11/2018 21:31

But the communists are the only party apart from UKIP who want to protect sex! Ffs!

Purpleartichoke · 26/11/2018 21:33

I don’t live near LM, but where I am, businesses are desperate for employees. Especially with the holidays, but really year round. Some stores have even taken to asking every customer if they or anyone they know are looking for a job. It’s always entry level work for minimal pay, exactly the kind of work often done by students for generations.

Is the economy really so much different near Goldsmith’s? Or do kids these days just refuse to work? Saying that largely sarcastically.

dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 21:33

Well, Lily "advocates" for sex workers. She stands in solidarity with them. She supports their "choice" to be sex workers.

OP posts:
dillydallyXX · 26/11/2018 21:35

@purpleartichoke

One thing to know about Lily, who is 21. She has never, ever had a paid job. Lily does not work. She has two PayPal begging accounts (one for general living, the other for her "transition fund") and she uses an app to beg for drinks in bars.

OP posts:
KayM2 · 26/11/2018 22:13

It is just all awful, isn't it? .

In a year or two, Lily M, will be a trivia question in a pub quiz. Please ( insert god of choice) make it soon.

Annandale · 26/11/2018 22:18

I can't believe this issue is really hitting the big sex-based voting graphs. It's much too niche(in interest not impact). Though I'm always surprised by how many women in particular do know about it.
