Lily Madigan and the School Saga

Lily Madigan has been self-praising again, with more details about how they "sued" their school.

They hired a "team of solicitors", to "advice" Lily and the "principle" gave in on all their "demands".

The truth is slightly different.

Lily arrived at school wearing basically a boob tube. They were sent home because it was against uniform policy. Any girl wearing that for school would have been asked to change or go home. It's clear Lily was looking for a reason to kick things off.

Lily was not "made to wear a man's suit". They were asked to adhere to the school uniform - like any pupil. The girls wear a blazer too and can wear a skirt or trousers; many girls choose to wear trousers and the blazer.

Lily organised a petition. It was an ONLINE petition, quite different to a paper one. The support Lily claimed she had is very difficult to prove.

The school's staff tried very hard to placate Lily. They had meetings with their mother, the pastoral care team, etc - and got nowhere. It apparently caused distress to Lily's younger sister who was at school.

Lily contacted a solicitor in London. Because of the Equality Act the school did have to cater to transgender pupils - and when the school was informed of their obligations they changed their policy in accordance to the Act.

There was no suing of the school. There was no legal action, certainly no "legal battle", as Lily repeatedly claims.

There was no victimisation of Lily. Afterwards, the school said they had tried very hard for Lily and their words and actions had been deliberately twisted.

And now Lily still says that "they won", they "got it all", and that they did all this behind their parents' backs, and then "embarked on a media tour".

Lily's parents knew about it all, right from the day Lily was sent home.

Yes, floral, you are absolutely right.

dillydallyXX I appreciate you saying that. Please don't think I'm trying to shut you down here - LM is ripe for criticism certainly. I just don't want another thread to disappear into the ether...

endofthelinefinally · 27/12/2018 05:24

I have always thought Jeremy Corbyn is the typical perpetual student. He reminds me of one of my sociology lecturers back in the 70s.

dillydallyXX · 27/12/2018 09:33

One last word on Madigan's "lesbianism". Madigan watches Mumsnet and saw the post about the father issues. So, suddenly, Madigan announces they came out to their father recently - and tweets a story about it. It's a blatant lie. As someone has said: "How did he not know, given that you're in the news?". No reply. This person is so devious and has no shame whatsoever. As their brother has said, they lie to maintain a public profile.

LM is a Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire, not a lesbian

HamiltonCork · 27/12/2018 12:48

LM is an habitual liar so I can see why they are attracted to politics.

The fact that LM is completely unelectable and with the charisma of a postage stamp seems to be completely lost on her.

I see that Madigan has removed the tweet about membership data, having been called out for either breaching GDPR or making it all up. No matter, those of us who've complained will have all the relevant screen shots. I don't actually wish any bad things for LM, just that they would go away and grow up in private and stop inflicting their adolescent fantasies on a world in which they (sadly) have the twitter-conferred power to cause damage.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 27/12/2018 15:03

Ah, yes. Madigan's deleted tweets. Didn't Madigan say that their Twitter account had been hacked and thus weren't responsible for tweets made from their account?

I am waiting for this excuse to surface, again.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/12/2018 18:38

Kenneth Williams. That is an astute point. (Very different otherwise, KW seemed sensistive and had both brains and a waspish wit) .
The main reason i will not vote Labour now is not so much Madigan as an individual, but the horrifying lack of grown-ups. It has become a party of adolescent men, with a few outlier women allowed on the edges, having to pussyfoot around to get heard.
I am not working class, but the most ardent Labour supporters i know now are not working class either. The true working classes don't seem to be represented well by anyone. Working class women least of all. I had high hopes of Jess Phillips on this, but now I am less sure.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/12/2018 18:41

Endoftheline - I have a friend who is a life long Labour voter who has said the same thing, and voted differently for the first time ever at the last election.

andyoldlabour · 28/12/2018 00:35

@SirVixofVixHall

"It has become a party of adolescent men, with a few outlier women allowed on the edges"

I think that you will find that Labour has around 100 female MP's - nearly half - in Parliament, and the males are not by any means "adolescent". If you wish to make an argument then base it on facts, because it is by far the women in Labour who are backing this trans movement - don't ask me why.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/12/2018 00:55

I didnt mean that they were actual adolescents , obv. I mean that they act like adolescents, and that the male voices predominate - I don’t hear of men being as disenchanted with the party as women are.
I am interested that you say it is the women who are backing this movement though, what makes you say that, are the men in general more against it, or is the party as a whole very united on this issue ?

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 28/12/2018 11:16

No mention of family Christmas on Lily's SM.

I'll bet Lily's parents are worried sick about her. Goodness, I am and I don't even know Lily.

I'd like to have her round for dinner. A wee mince pie, a cuddle, some fresh air, a job and a kick up the bahookie would do her the power of good I reckon.

andyoldlabour · 28/12/2018 14:41

@SirVixofVixHall

"I am interested that you say it is the women who are backing this movement though, what makes you say that"

I know that it sounds strange and very counter intuitive, but there are plenty of people such as Dawn Butler who are very pro transgender without stopping to think of the consequences their actions could have with regard to "real" women.

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/dawn-butler-transgender-uk-labour-intersectionality-rights-a8534761.html

She is very much in favour of trans women standing on all women shortlists.

www.theguardian.com/society/2018/jan/11/trans-women-should-be-considered-for-all-women-shortlists-labour-dawn-butler

It was Dawn Butler who was responsible for Munro Bergdorf being appointed as a Labour Equalities advisor.

www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/02/27/labour-hires-transgender-model-said-white-people-racist-advisor/

Rosie Duffield, the new Labour MP for Canterbury is also a keen supporter of transgender rights and a friend of Lily Madigan.

www.pinknews.co.uk/2017/11/29/jo-cox-womens-leadership-scheme-rebukes-the-times-over-attacks-on-transgender-teen/

Interestingly enough, both Duffield and Butler have accused people/businesses of "cultural appropriation", massively failing to see that what they are supporting is a most blatant form of appropriation.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/12/2018 14:52

Oh yes, Dawn Butler, i knew of her feelings on this , I haven’t heard of Rosie Duffield before. I wonder if there are non-believers, and if so whether they feel free to speak. The (female) Labour candidate at the last GE was really rude to me about it and not interested in my concerns.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/12/2018 14:54

I have never known a political climate like this, where women are intimidated and disrespected to this degree. It was quite shocking that someone canvassing for votes would be so rude and dismissive, even more so as it was a fairly close call who would get in. She lost.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 28/12/2018 15:02

That's because there's hasn't been a political climate like this since the 1930's

The need to follow and been seen as good has overtaken the ability for people to think.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/12/2018 15:38

Yes true. We had jewish relatives who were fighting the fascists in the East End in the thirties, so it is drummed into our children how dangerous totalitarianism is, and how important it is to think critically. The thing that twists my brain so much is that it is now presented as libertarianism.

dillydallyXX · 28/12/2018 16:36

The usual tactic. A random story. Then, when challenged or asked for details, you get a nonsensical reply.

Exactly the same type of response to questions about GRC, membership data, etc.

I firmly believe that everything about Madigan is fake and a lie.

So LM is now into men?

I am confused...LM has had a girlfriend on and off for ages so dad must've known about them...

Yep confused... funnily enough meh my DD came out to me I wasn't confused...I understood her exactly ...but this... I am now flummoxed

HamiltonCork · 28/12/2018 17:43

LM’s dad probably didn’t react because he’s so sick of the torrent of bullshit from Lily.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/12/2018 17:47

I think LM means that LM is gay because of having a girlfriend ?

NotANotMan · 28/12/2018 17:50

LM is apparently into women. And as LM is apparently a woman that makes LM a lesbian. Apparently.

VickyEadie · 28/12/2018 17:53

Still doesn't explain why a "coming out" to Dad was needed...
