Lily Madigan and the School Saga

Lily Madigan has been self-praising again, with more details about how they "sued" their school.

They hired a "team of solicitors", to "advice" Lily and the "principle" gave in on all their "demands".

The truth is slightly different.

Lily arrived at school wearing basically a boob tube. They were sent home because it was against uniform policy. Any girl wearing that for school would have been asked to change or go home. It's clear Lily was looking for a reason to kick things off.

Lily was not "made to wear a man's suit". They were asked to adhere to the school uniform - like any pupil. The girls wear a blazer too and can wear a skirt or trousers; many girls choose to wear trousers and the blazer.

Lily organised a petition. It was an ONLINE petition, quite different to a paper one. The support Lily claimed she had is very difficult to prove.

The school's staff tried very hard to placate Lily. They had meetings with their mother, the pastoral care team, etc - and got nowhere. It apparently caused distress to Lily's younger sister who was at school.

Lily contacted a solicitor in London. Because of the Equality Act the school did have to cater to transgender pupils - and when the school was informed of their obligations they changed their policy in accordance to the Act.

There was no suing of the school. There was no legal action, certainly no "legal battle", as Lily repeatedly claims.

There was no victimisation of Lily. Afterwards, the school said they had tried very hard for Lily and their words and actions had been deliberately twisted.

And now Lily still says that "they won", they "got it all", and that they did all this behind their parents' backs, and then "embarked on a media tour".

Lily's parents knew about it all, right from the day Lily was sent home.

This is interesting. When I resigned from the Labour Party I cited LM's poor public conduct on twitter (as a representative of the LP) as one of the reasons.

Yeahnahyeah · 23/12/2018 21:14

terfing here in NZ both the Labour Party and the Greens are on record for such quotes as " I don't want any fucken terfs at the pride parade".
www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2018/11/labour_mp_wants_pride_to_exclude_even_more_people.html/comment-page-1

And it seems hardly anyone here is critical of the whole issue, and the few that are are paying the price.
Unfuckenbelievable.

OlennasWimple · 23/12/2018 21:25

WTF would LM have access to anyone's personal data?

And WTF is someone who manages Labour party membership using a derogatory term to describe the reasons why a former member has handed in their card?

Can someone on Twitter alert the sensible folk like Caroline FLint and Yvette Cooper to this? I'd have thought that even Jess Phillips might be interested to know that derogatory terms are being used to describe female members

I'd have hoped that LM would have learnt their mistake after tweeting, shortly before starting as CLP Women's Officer, that they were looking forward to "getting [their] hands on all that pretty contact data". Clearly personal growth and familiarity with the data protection laws have not been two of their accomplishments for 2018

dillydallyXX · 23/12/2018 21:31

well, Jess Phillips is Madigan's latest target.

According to Madigan, Jess is a transphobe, no friend of women, no feminist and has endangered sex workers.

Madigan then talks about mandatory reselection. It wouldn't surprise me if Madigan's latest campaign will be to stand for Labour MP in Jess's seat, to replace her. This is Madigan's ultimate goal, to be a Labour MP, and what better way than to replace a "terf"

I really, really hope Madigan tries that.

NoseringGirl · 23/12/2018 21:38

What is Jess Phillips supposed to have done?!

sorenipples · 23/12/2018 21:59

What has Jess Philips done?

Well she's been in Lily's dreams, killing her with scissors.

dillydallyXX · 23/12/2018 22:01

When Madigan sets their sights on their next target, it is vicious and extreme. Hence, the violent imagery in the dreams. Madigan needs to create enemies and hate figures in life - Madigan always needs to be fighting someone.

Terfing · 23/12/2018 22:22

I think that being "cis" is enough to trigger some TRAs...

NoseringGirl · 23/12/2018 22:31

That thread! WTF did I just read? I actually thought you were joking there sorenipples!
Is there a non dream related reason that Jess Phillips is a transphobe or is this enough of a crime?
Though judging by that thread, disagreeing with Madigan = transphobia.

ChattyLion · 23/12/2018 22:35

Lordy that tweet!! Shock I thought you were kidding too sorenipples

OlennasWimple · 24/12/2018 11:18

I thought Jess had splinters in her bum for fence-sitting between "TWAW" and "women need safe spaces". Obviously anything but complete capitulation is not enough

In other news, I can now fly; I need to apologise to Daniel Craig's wife; and I really need to see a dentist about my crumbling teeth

Hmm
dillydallyXX · 24/12/2018 13:13

The tweet about the scissors though is bizarre. What on earth is going on inside Madigan's head?

Under GDPR everyone has the right to know what information is being held about them - by anyone who holds information about you. You can also request that it is deleted. If I were a current or ex Labour Party member I'd be very keen to know what information they hold and also who has access to it.

As for complaints, any concerns can be raised directly with the ICO. Why waste your time bring fobbed off or ignored by Labour, who clearly don't give a shit. Report them!

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 24/12/2018 14:23

The only thing I can think is some kind of castration-projection dream.

Katvonbatshit · 24/12/2018 15:15

Wow
Lily's got even more issues than I thought.

Terfing · 24/12/2018 18:36

Lily has deleted that scissors tweet, but yes, it is extremely concerning.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 24/12/2018 20:33

I'm sure Jess will have seen it.

dillydallyXX · 24/12/2018 20:37

A great end to 2018 for Madigan's political career: boasting about seeing membership data, attacking a female Labour MP's excellent record on helping abused women, and talking about violent dreams involving scissors and said female Labour MP

OP posts:
andyoldlabour · 25/12/2018 00:18

@Vegilante

yes, that is what have said and had posts deleted.
When can we speak the truth?

andyoldlabour · 25/12/2018 00:23

@OlennasWimple,
Do you seriously think, that the people you have mentioned are the sensible ones?
Just saying?

morningtoncrescent62 · 25/12/2018 00:44

I've emailed the Labour Party complaints team about the membership tweet, citing concerns both about Lily's apparent access to sensitive data (or bringing the party into disrepute by pretending to have such access) and about the tone of the comments which breach party guidelines on social media use. I don't think you have to be a party member to complain - this page tells you how to do it and this page has links to the basic rules for LP members including the social media guidance. I really do think it's time some of the adults in the party stepped in and stopped this apparently troubled young person from harming themselves and others, not to mention creating a nightmare of a social media footprint that will come back to haunt them for decades. I'm very glad social media wasn't around when I was that age!

OlennasWimple · 25/12/2018 01:33

@andyoldlabour - Caroline Flint and Yvette Cooper are both GC. Are you saying that they aren't? I didn't think I needed to specify "sensible people on this issue "

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 25/12/2018 11:13

posting images of yourself in tears so you get messages of "whatsuphun?" is the sort of thing that my daughter's pals did when they were 13.

She thought it was pathetic then. At 13 years old.
