7 adjectives more or less pointlessly or misleadingly inserted there - blatant, persistent and aggressive (the last two untrue), continued (untrue) and deliberate, unwarranted and unprovoked. All describing a ‘course of action’ which is posting a single tweet about, not even to, a person who had posted their own tweet.

What a funny idea of harassment he has. And the writing style of an over-compensating, dim sixth former in an English essay.

Those the claims those two make are so far from reality as to read like a parody. 'Relentless attack' = one tweet. 'Blatant criminal harassment' = pointing out the truth. 'Blatant, persistent & aggressive nature of this continued and deliberate course of unwarranted & unprovoked action' = cut and paste response to any woman expressing an opinion Harrop doesn't agree with.

He has the DARVO view of harassment.

Slightly in shock over the vague possibility haddock has a sense of humour, just wanted to record this.

Given the background could almost be seen as a threat.

Sneering at women who are concerned about women's privacy and safety - suggesting we're all middle class, go skiing, etc - doesn't pass for a sense of humour with me.

They like their little fantasies. I really doubt those two get on well with many actual women.

Had feedback from medic friends at New Year that a Dr known to them has recently been struck off because of unacceptable social media use. Also that Harrop will be assessed against standards on training scheme as well as overall.

Is this the man who wants to 'terminate' various GC women on twitter by telling them to 'get a grip' (just like Harrop does)?

Some years back we had some final year students who had to leave the course (dentistry rather than medicine) because of something they had put on social media-not because of the university deciding they had to but the professional body to which they belonged, even as students, saying they could not continue. There is even a section on social media use under the 'student professionalism and fitness to practice' standards. I can imagine that medicine is similar.

pombear - Thanks for reminding us about Hayden's attack with a golf club. I hope you are able to find a way of alerting the GMC to this. It's pretty worrying if a medical doctor is making jokes, if obliquely, about attacking women with a golf club.
