Hmm. I have long thought that Ade was just desperate to be a high-profile Telly Doc. He so clearly wants to be seen as important.

First he tried with the Doctor's Strike. When that didn't work, he hit on the idea of being Saviour of Transpeople.

Wonder what he'll come up with next? Tweeting from the front line with Medecins Sans Frontieres?

I reckon he's been threatened with a formal warning if he doesn't rethink his behaviour. A trip away was a good time to clear off social media and let the music die down. I will be surprised if we see him back on twitter any time soon. From the register it looks as if he hasn't completed his gp training yet. He probably needs to do that. After that he might have a chance thinks he will still have a chance of developing a media career. Or maybe to run one of those outlying gender clinics that Gids are threatening to set up. Provided he remains uncontroversial on social media.

I'm sure a case like this will have been a first for the gmc leaving them scratching their heads what to do. They don't like erasing people from the register and it's not easy to do, especially in the absence of substantive concerns about clinical practice. If he's done nothing wrong clinically there's not much they can do. I imagine a stern talking to and threat of a formal warning on his record and a spell away to re-evaluate life will have brought him to his senses.

I don't think he's quite in the same class as David Nott who, notwithstanding being a very compassionate inclusive person probably wouldn't let him scrub his surgical boots.

I've been listening to it IUsed2B. Also his Desert Island Discs appearance. What a wonderful, compassionate man, and clearly a superbly skilled surgeon, who has been carrying out his work with no fanfare for decades.

Harrop is not fit to do up the ties on his surgical gown.

It's been very peaceful not having him erupting over all the good news stories that have happened recently. I've enjoyed the holiday too

Plus, you just know he's not actually been keeping away from twitter. It must be killing him to be seeing all that has happened over the last few weeks and having to keep schtum.

I only came across this guy last week when I watched an old YouTube video of him and Posie Parker. He came across as a total head case. Unhinged. I can't believe he's a doctor! It's so clear that he hates women.

I was talking about Harrop with a relative the other week and they mentioned that they had worked with him. Apparently he was universally loathed by the department staff and they breathed a sigh of relief when he went.

Quite hilarious that he pretends other people are being horrible to him. Comments like, "Er, that's a bit rude, isn't it, Adrian?" and "Surely doctors should know the difference between men and women?" count as hate speech in the good doctor's book.
