My blood pressure is sky high watching this.

They are covering the end of the consultation process with a panel of entirely transgender people: Fae, IW, and a trans man. There was a weak film with a "rad fem" and a transwoman.

There's no recognition of the importance of biological difference at all. No recognition that the proposed legislation means females would not be able to guarantee a female hcp or a female single-sex ward.

There's also no recognition that the new process is meaningless in terms of policing single sex spaces (or even single gender spaces) if it is discriminatory to request legal documentation proving legal sex/gender before entry.

Can anyone tweet or email in this study where paedophiles did approach the NHS to transition and gain better access to children as 'females'

I can't

gendercritter · 19/10/2018 09:46

I had to turn it off. There should be women in the studio giving our side of the debate. It's the last day of the consultation ffs

OldCrone · 19/10/2018 10:03

Make a complaint. They will respond by email and it can be escalated to a higher level and eventually to ofcom if their response is rubbish (it will be). I am going to start doing this with my complaints.

I've actually just complained for all of the main reasons, and then some.

Seeing 'you know who' sitting in the centre of that panel sent me over the edge. I have an intense pathological dislike for said person anyway, but the bias and the way that entire panel came across.... Angry

I'll now duly wait for my simpering cut&paste boilerplate response...

Disturbing account of the 'ro trans' event recently organised by Jane Fae:

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 19/10/2018 11:27

for fucks sake

i'm a regular of the BBC complaints webform now. Complaint below submitted.

I was disappointed (but sadly not surprised) to see that no women panellists had been invited to participate in the discussion on the GRA today. This is clearly an issue that seriously impacts women and girls. Having such a one sided debate, particularly while a government consultation is in progress is a serious and very damaging example of BBC bias.

Please could you explain to me why you thought no women's voices needed to be heard on this?

R0wantrees · 19/10/2018 12:55

Victoria Derbyshire shown has demonstrated clear bias towards TRAs in the past.

It would be interesting to know who is influential there.

R0wantrees · 19/10/2018 13:00

Is it treue that Jane Fae claimed that housing Karen White was done to discredit trans people?

If so we can deduce that in terms of housing male bodied people in female prison estate,

a) male bodied prisoner's feelings and rights prioritised over females right to safety, dignity and privacy.

  1. when females are sexually assaulted by a male bodied prisoner, this must have been done to harm male bodied transwomen's cause. So transwomen's feelings, damage to their cause trump the actual sexual assaults of vulnerable females.
Shock
gamerchick · 19/10/2018 14:01

I saw that bit, where they dropped the seed the Karen white thing may have been done deliberately. Yanno if they were a conspiracy theory kinda person.

Petillant · 19/10/2018 14:07

Victoria Derbyshire is one of the most moronic shows I ever watched for about ten seconds.

ZuttZeVootEeVro · 19/10/2018 14:10

Is it treue that Jane Fae claimed that housing Karen White was done to discredit trans people?

The worse part of male violence is that it makes males look bad.

ZuttZeVootEeVro · 19/10/2018 14:12

Whoa, that was a quick deletion.

ZuttZeVootEeVro · 19/10/2018 14:13

Was I imagining it, or was Petillant post deleted for a while?

birdbandit · 19/10/2018 14:23

Hang on, so it was the women which made Karen White do those terrible things?

Or was it the women's fault the press reported on it?

Massive eye roll.

birdbandit · 19/10/2018 14:25

Why are no newspapers talking about Jane Fae's other job, you know where she campaigns for extreme porn?

frogintheTyne · 19/10/2018 14:28

was Petillant post deleted for a while?

yes, I saw that too.

R0wantrees · 19/10/2018 14:28

Why are no newspapers talking about Jane Fae's other job, you know where she campaigns for extreme porn?

Its extraordinary isn't it.

Never a question about their articles (see also IW's Pink News accusations about MN)

Both Fae and Willoughby are journalists.
They have written the words.

Janie143 · 19/10/2018 14:37

Yes JF definitely thinks the worst thing about male violence against women is it makes men look bad. I mean women with their weak sulks having the audacity to die making domestic violence "go wrong". That makes the poor men become murderers don't take know. Then IW feels sorry for the "chaps having a really hard time" because so many of them commit DV and murder so making men look bad

Janie143 · 19/10/2018 14:38

Weak skulls not sulks OMG

gamerchick · 19/10/2018 14:38

Hang on, so it was the women which made Karen White do those terrible things

It was suggested that the decision to put a dangerous prisoner in with vulnerable woman was deliberate, to damage the trans side of the debate. It's worth watching to clarify properly. I don't know if it's on catch up though.

PersonWithAVulva · 19/10/2018 15:16

Yes JF definitely thinks the worst thing about male violence against women is it makes men look bad.

Thatw as what India Willoguby said a few months back in a 'debate' (where IW continually talked over Karen Ingala Smith). That Karens counting dead women website makes men look bad and she feels sorry for men Hmm

SillySallySingsSongs · 19/10/2018 15:20

Considering the uproar about the use of he/she correctly why was it acceptable for IW to use the word cripple!
