I cancelled my Vogue subscription when they presented a man as a woman for the 100 years of suffrage edition.

I am debating cancelling tv license.

I no longer use Asos or Topshop or M&S or Ocado or Tesco.

I no longer watch CH4 or BBC news or buy the Guardian.

Asos and Tesco have backed Stonewall alongside GCHQ (no idea how to boycott spooks!) and many others. I just picked the ones I use regularly off the Metro list of companies to avoid in future. Made it nice and easy that did.

How about we change all the signs in women's toilets in every Tesco to 'unisex' or 'everyone welcome' and explain to women wanting to use them that Tesco have publicly allied themselves with an organisation which campaigns for an end to single sex facilities?

I don't think any of that would be untrue.

OhHolyJesus · 18/10/2018 15:02

All the usual suspects as listed by PPs. Was about to return to LibDems after leaving Green Party but then realised they're a bunch of losers/liars too.

I do wanted to love Lush since I started my single use plastic free mission but read more and realised how expensive they are compared to alternatives.

I'm finding it useful to be have my options limited though as I really want to make good choices and not be connected to those who can't be honest and stand up for women.

Lloyds bank today after saying how proud they were to sponsor the Pink news awards. I have a personal account, joint account, three savings accounts and a business account with them which will all end before the end of the month. I also have a Halifax savings account and one for each of my children which will also be moving as I believe Lloyds own Halifax.

Have been thinking about moving previously when faced with other misogynistic behaviour from them once my DH came on the scene so this is the kick up the arse I needed.

oooompa · 18/10/2018 16:23

Bonfires I've put in a complaint with Lloyds and depending on their answer and further actions I'll also take my business elsewhere.

And I'd never considered leaving Lloyds before because I liked them so much!

thurmanmerman · 18/10/2018 16:30

The Labour party
The Guardian

BonfiresOfInsanity · 18/10/2018 16:31

oooompa, where did you complain to, I only see to be able to find phone numbers? I did tweet them but it's been ignored of course.

I'm a bit of a lazy sod when it comes to banks, I've been with Lloyds since I was 16 and I'm decades beyond that now. Over the years I have been angered by their desire to put me second to my husband when he joined on MY mortgage, named second when we opened a joint account (his main bank is Natwest so he only did this one for me) and more recently when I discovered that he had become the SOLE contact for receiving information on our joint account without so much as a by your leave from them. I only found out the last one because he never opens the Lloyds letters so I did and found out it was asking him about important decisions and I never received a letter on it. They felt my fury that day.

This has now just given me the extra shove I need.

Labour - cancelled membership in May, the Green Party - member before leaving them for Labour, won't be going back until they sort their shit out, WEP hoped they'd be an alternative, bitterly disappointed that a women's equality party didn't prioritise the sex based rights of women and girls over the hurty feelings of boys and men.
Amnesty - already cancelled direct debit after they came out in favour of the exploitation of women and children in prostitution
Children in need, Oxfam, Fawcett society, Stonewall - backstabbing lesbophobic bastards.
Ocado, Top shop, M&S, Lush. Waiting to see if Tesco#s inclusion in the add means they are fully behind self ID and the eradication of female only spaces before dropping them.
The Guardian - no more cash support from me once their misogyny and silencing of women became obvious
The Canary - supporter since the start, cancelled after recent anti-woman coverage.
Diva - the lesbian magazine that attacks and silences real lesbians and fawns over males who identify as lesbian women.
Wikipedia - always donated when the begging page came up, not anymore.
On the plus side I have found woman centric charities to support, discovered the decadent delights of Birds Eye potato waffles in my sixth decade, and Zoflora under the influence of the viper's nest.

Mumminmum · 18/10/2018 17:35

I didn't know that about Tesco. Now I am even more pleased with myself for putting those "Women don't have willies" stickers under the toilet seats (Under because besides the cleaners only people with willies lift the toilet seat).

Mumminmum · 18/10/2018 17:36

I put them under the toilet seats in the women's toilets in Tesco.

I hope that works bonfires

It says that they call you about the complaint but I said I preferred them to email so I could get their response in writing! I can't believe the didn't reply to your tweet I would have been furious with that as well, I handle all our banking, just because my partner has a penis it doesn't make him more financially savvy!

Needmoresleep · 18/10/2018 18:13

Virgin Money. They signed up to Stonewall's Metro ad which gave links to the Stonewall guidance to the GRA consultation. And have now given me a patronising and inaccurate stock response. I will write back and perhaps start a thread on them. Its not even my account. They hold my vulnerable 89 year old mother's life savings. Yet seem happy to throw her under a bus for the trans cause.

BonfiresOfInsanity · 18/10/2018 19:57

Thanks Ooompa. 👍🏻

Mumfun · 18/10/2018 20:26

ITV need to be added as they showed the extended ad for Mermaids and also signed up to the Stonewall ad. Didnt watch them much anyway but will avoid totally.

Topshop, Lush for younger family

Keeping a very close eye on DCs clubs and sports

Melanippe · 18/10/2018 22:28

Amnesty, NSPCC and the Guardian will never get another penny of mine. I can't avoid Lush sadly, because they make the only skin care item I can use without my skin going ballistic and yes, I have tried bloody everything.

CountFosco · 18/10/2018 22:44

The Girl Guides, Lib Dems, Green Party, Amnesty International after the prostitution issue.

Sexnotgender · 19/10/2018 11:39

You can add RBS to the list.

They’ve sent in a group response to the GRA wholeheartedly supporting self ID.

2rebecca · 19/10/2018 21:50

I rarely shop at Waitrose as there aren't many in Scotland but looks like they're desperate to be added to the list of businesses that prefer trans activists to women

frogintheTyne · 19/10/2018 21:55

As of today, the National.

National journos - see the Leeds Citizen? That's how it should be done!

Beamur · 19/10/2018 22:30

NSPCC after their fiasco on MN I contacted them and asked a question. Silence...Why should I hand over my money if you don't even give me the courtesy of a response. Will donate elsewhere.

Who has lost your business as a result of transgender debate?
AllAboutHallowsEve · 19/10/2018 23:00

I cancelled my direct debit to the Labour Party last night after seeing this tweet. They have completely thrown women under the bus. Will be emailing them at the weekend to formally cancel my membership.
