Why should post op mean going in with women ? There are plenty of ways to assault women without using a penis . Transitioned males commit crime at the same rate as other males . If you are a sex offender , having transitioned isn’t going to turn you into someone nice .

No idea how many post op f2m prisoners there are, but it is known that all f2m prisoners are kept within the female estate as the risk to them on the male estate is too ridiculous for the authorities to even consider. I've also never yet seen evidence from f2m people discussing a desire to be in the male estate.

Imagine the following: transman convicted of attempted murder (for example). Five years inside. Applies to be placed in male estate. Lots of courtroom drama. Is placed in male estate. Identifies as a gay man. Has relationships with male inmates. Gets pregnant. Must stop taking testosterone for the foetus's sake. Sues prison service, as now unable to continue transition until postpartum. Or sues for lack of birth control provision. Or lack of spaces for a baby in the male estate.
Or gets put into male estate. Is raped by man with regressive background, beliefs in sex segregation etc. Transman sues, rapist sues (for having temptation put in his way, not allowing his to practice his beliefs).
Crazy? Completely. Impossible? Depends how much money is available.

I’m the victim of a double rape. I’d recoil – less in disgust than in abject fear – from being locked into any intimate space with a visibly masculine body, in particular someone who owns a penis. I’ve seen the counter arguments to that position: that lumping all men/transwomen/group of choice into the category of potential rapists is bigotry. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to tell from surface appearances who does represent a threat, ergo I’m wary of them all. You want to think that makes me transphobic? Knock yourself out.
