Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

Just been watching some clips of Piers Morgan on GMB, some from last year. He must have some real clout as the kind of things he's saying, the language he's using, would have an everyday woman hunted down in the street by the TRAs if they said them.

Can't quite bring myself to high five and "respect" him, but who'd have thought he'd fit well into this thread?

Theswaggyotter · 28/09/2018 21:35

I agree posie did a great job! She got a lot of different points across which will hopefully get people the think about the implications of the twaw mantra and the logical conclusion of this which is pretty frightening really

CaptainKirkssparetupee · 28/09/2018 21:36

He's a man, they are not so quick to attack men.

MipMipMip · 28/09/2018 21:36

I suspect the complains about Eamon will go no where. First of all it's legal (shouldn't be but is) and second he was asked for his opinion. Sad

BeyondAdultHumanFemale · 28/09/2018 21:40

Is it legal though? If sex is a PC and the demand for a female is reasonable, then it breaks equality law. If it's breaking the law, then it's sanctioning sexual assault?

ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 21:44

Piers Morgan isn't completely gender critical - I think that's where he lies, but I've seen him playing 'devil's advocate' for both sides tbh.
But I do get the feeling that he is critical of the trans ideology.

There are 2 things I agree with Piers about - trans ideology and gun control.

Now100 · 28/09/2018 21:45

I have just been supporting the GC side on the This Morning Facebook page. I hate arguing on the internet but am trying to find the ridiculous replies amusing.

It does feel as though it is now being spoken about openly, thanks to Posie, Magdalen Berns, PeachYogurt, Venice Allen and any others who spoke out when the rest of us were a bit too nervous to.

nails2018 · 28/09/2018 21:46

I don't know. IW seemed like a deer in the headlights. Posie was obviously brilliant and I completely support her, and wish i had the financial wherewithal to be her. But I don't know. As a GC feminist I have been really depressed by the attack on women's rights. But I wonder - i watched IW on Big Brother and she was aggressive to begin with, but then calmed herself down. So, is she being caught up with the TRAs, which she will see as the only allies she has? As she has gone through gender reassignment surgery I see her as someone who wants acceptance as a woman. Not sure I am up for that, but she does not scare me- as a childhood sexual abuse survivor, - like a fully intact male. So I don't know what I think now. Is it possible that someone who has gone through GRS could be an ally to our cause of blocking the predators and child abusers getting in? Because that is what I am fighting against - not trans women who have had GRS.

limitedperiodonly · 28/09/2018 21:48

Posie Parker is doing all right. She does not need media training or to be be nice to people on a deluded journey like I** Willoughby or handmaidens like Ruth Langsford or men with fucked up rapey complexes like Eamonn Holmes.

nicenewdusters · 28/09/2018 21:53

That's a fair point CaptainKirk The videos I watched were him having a general rant about a newspaper article, no guest. Two female guests, one was Susie Green. Then one trans woman. I think as you say toe-to-toe he's critical of the trans ideology.

I have very mixed feelings about him.

nicenewdusters · 28/09/2018 21:55

Any one remember Eamonn Holmes' public rage when he was criticised for being over weight ? I've a feeling that was Twitter related.

peanut2017 · 28/09/2018 21:57

Did anyone feel that India spoke very different to how they normally speak? As in really gentle, soft and not speaking over Posie too much like they normally do?

Felt very staged and rehearsed. Something briefed India well and it did feel like Posie was on her own against 3 others. She did well

RepealtheGRA · 28/09/2018 21:58

There are some good GC comments from the general public.

But then there is utter shite like this.

Where do you go with people like that? That disrespect for your own child having boundaries. Wow

Peanut Yes! Almost like India has had some media training - and been told not to shout "I am a REAL woman" in women's faces!

India sounded deranged when India talked to JHB and JustineMN. I mean, almost paranoid.

India was all softy softy today. It was all so staged.

McFugget · 28/09/2018 22:03

Completely agree peanut, and the two simpering presenters repeatedly asking Posie why she was so "angry". Confused

I thought Posie was fab!

MipMipMip · 28/09/2018 22:05

Didn't the pc win a court case to say that they could search according to their feelings? Not sure if it was the same one who has two warrant cards - one for their girly days and one for when they felt manly.

AngryAttackKittens · 28/09/2018 22:05

RE the comment Repeal posted, that's how internalized misogyny gets passed down from one generation to another. That women is attempting to convince her daughters that they don't deserve much out of life and that expecting even the most basic level of decency and respect from men is unreasonable of them.

Belindabauer · 28/09/2018 22:05

Wow just wow.
Makes me despise India Willoughby even more.
She cannot even answer the question, what does living as a woman mean.

Starting to hate that twat Eamon.

RepealtheGRA · 28/09/2018 22:10

AngryAttackKittens

It is really fucking scary. How do you break that cycle?

Starting to hate that twat Eamon.

Only starting? Today’s the first time I’ve watched the prick and I’m already there.

The only way that I can think of is for those girls to be exposed to women with very different views to those of their mother, and presumably their father too. They need to hear that they're not bad people for not always putting themselves last, and that men aren't more important than they are.

user1510568216 · 28/09/2018 22:14

@nails2018 I think deer in headlights was the look IW wanted to portray. All innocent & docile. Watch other interviews & it's nothing like that. IW knew who he was up against. IW didn't need to do anything as it was obvious who's side everyone was on from the start. To be honest IW doesn't bother me half as much as loonies like Harrop. The floodgates have been opened for all the halfwits who give no shits about real women & the struggle they already face. The comment where IW said if they faced domestic abuse they would want to go to a woman's shelter just says it all. So a man who has committed domestic violence (not reported) now identifies as a woman should be housed with women who are fleeing domestic violence but because he now says he's a woman & dresses like a woman it's perfectly OK. It's beyond ridiculous. I could cry for my children.

nicenewdusters · 28/09/2018 22:17

"From the bottom of my ball bag" Class.

user1510568216 · 28/09/2018 22:17

Having said that. Posie saying "fundraise & set up your own shelters" was a great reply but totally ignored by all!!!

BiologyIsReal · 28/09/2018 22:18

Yes! Almost like India has had some media training

India was a journalist - knows the ropes and, as I said earlier, worked for ITV. So no surprise it was a three to one stitch up.
