Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

Eammon can fuck off. Women’s vaginas are not to be poked at to validate the delusions or kinks of males.

ChilliJamandAvocado · 28/09/2018 11:21

I have been searched by male police officers (not strip searched- over clothes pat down). I'm still angry about it 10 years later.

I left a protest camp to go & write down bus times... they wouldn't let me back in without giving me a pat down. I tried to clarify that it needed to be by an officer of the same sex, but I was on my own, there was nothing I could do.

Men in authority can say and do anything to women and there's little counter. Male police officers claiming transgender status is another extension of their authority over women. Angry

SirVixofVixHall · 28/09/2018 11:21

I’ve emailed this morning.
Predictable that they brought in IW as that is most people’s idea of a trans person. Post surgery, including facial feminisation surgery. A transsexual. Not the actual face of transactivism at all.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 28/09/2018 11:22

Honestly everyone, read the twitter thread linked by Twistedstitch at 11.11am. It will cheer you right up.

pennydrew · 28/09/2018 11:23

Rosie, with respect, you can’t understand an issue completely by watching a short segment on a tv show anyway. You’ll have to do a lot more listening and reading. I have trans friends too. None of this has anything to do with whether or not trans people are ‘nice’. It is a debate that game about because some trans people want to force language on us and force law changes which take away existing rights for women. You can absolutely be supportive of trans people and their struggles, whilst also maintaining boundaries for women and retention of biological & accepted terms used to define human beings. I’m not having anyone here turn this into a ‘ trans people are in pain, be nice’ conversation. Guess what, plenty of women are in pain and struggling too. That’s not what this is about.

Eamonn: It's perfectly fine for a male police offer to stick his fingers up your fanny if he says he's a woman.

Not losing site of the trans issue here, but he really needs to be called on the carpet for that comment. This is one of those issues where almost no women will agree, and no decent men either.

What Twitter is everyone reading? I'm reading the This Morning one and it generally seems quite supportive of Posie.

Someone is following up a few of the 'live and let live, people can choose who they want to be' with 'can I be black'?

SwearyG · 28/09/2018 11:27

If anyone missed it there's a clip already.

I am raging at their dismissal of women. Raging.

UpstartCrow · 28/09/2018 11:28

To me, it looked like 3 people trying to goad a woman into losing her patience or temper, and saying something they could use against her.

Whereas what they got was a man saying he was fine with women being intimately searched by a male police officer.

TwistedStitch - that This Morning twitter thread is very supportive of Posie.

Do you have a link, as I'm finding it hard to find a thread.

dolorsit · 28/09/2018 11:29

@RosiePosies

If you really are interested there is a break it down thread which I will bump in a min.

The reason why there is such a consensus of opinion here is because people get banned elsewhere.

This is one of the few places on the internet where this issue is debated. It's a shame that you can't debate this with people who disagree with your viewpoint in spaces where your view is prevalent. But it's not our fault it is banned.

As an aside I'm atheist, I don't believe in souls never mind special gendered ones which can go into the wrong body. Therefore to me a woman is an adult human female. If you don't have a female body then you're not really a woman. Doesn't mean you can't dress, feel or behave in any way you wish. To me gender is just a bunch of stereotypes which I would like to see fade.

Wasn't the searching/groping of Suffragettes by male Police Officers one of the things that most angered people even 100 years ago?

Still reading that twitter thread:

Is Kelly on twitter? She is fantastic

Afraid not. Twitter banned her for knowing the difference between men and women

Well that's shit!!! She is amazing . Cool as a cucumber.

It's heartening that this has been brought to the attention of people that have just not looked at, or thought about this issue before.

No clue.....

deepwatersolo · 28/09/2018 11:31

Rosie, no offense, but are you for or against women‘s rights? And if you are for them, please, define woman. If you cannot do that, in your coordinate system there is no basis for women‘s rights and they cannot meaningfully exist in your universe.
It really boils down to that. Oh, and just a reminder: definitions are - by definition - noncircular and objectifyable. Cheers.

CottonTailRabbit · 28/09/2018 11:32

I reckon Eamonn may have peaked a few people with his response to Posie's police search example. Anybody watching would have thought of course he shouldn't get to intimately search a woman then Eammonn talks about what the man feels, no regard whatsoever for the woman. That's the nub of the problem, male feelz must not be allowed to result in physical harm to women. Eamonn demonstrated the fucked up male-centred thinking rather well I think.

Posie was calm. Posie told the truth. Posie wasn't mean to IW. She came across very well even if it wasn't a total walkover like with Harrop.

It was a reasonable debate. I'd like to see a lot more of it. Ideally with harder hitting journalists who will maybe get into but what about all the transpeople who keep their penises?

Honey, that Autogynephiles don‘t like the Diagnosis Autogynephilia and want to destroy scientists working on it in their narcisstic rage, does not mean that autogynephilia isn‘t still a thing (state of the art) in Science.

vaginafetishist · 28/09/2018 11:35

I am tired of men who don't know what a women's refuge is for.

AngryAttackKittens · 28/09/2018 11:36

It was indeed, Arran, that and the forcefeeding were what turned public opinion back then.

Push that point as hard as you can - people supportive of the trans activist position think that if someone male identifies as a woman then they should have the right to stick their hands inside women's vaginas regardless of how much the women in question protest. That's what's coming for women if trans activists get what they want.

ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 11:36

I found this article on AGP very informative.
