Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

India seemed measured? Is this not the person who has a fear of drag queens? Please.

arranfan · 28/09/2018 11:01

It is difficult when you are put on the spot but I feel she missed some opportunities

I think most of us feel like that about job interviews or difficult meetings. I've nothing but admiration for someone with as little public speaking background as PP who is prepared to go on national media and deal with unsympathetic framing by the programme and presenters.

Datun · 28/09/2018 11:01

Cervix havers, not a problem. Raped women, not a problem.

Women are embraced now dontcha know.

Oh dear.

What a set up. Quite obvious.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 28/09/2018 11:01

Might be worth filming that clip of Eamon agreeing men can intimately search woman on +1 and whacking it in a tweet. Unless it can be rewound?
OUTRAGEOUS

dolorsit · 28/09/2018 11:01

If it was a pile on viewers will notice. Posie is never going to win over "the brave and beautiful" supporters.

They would still be posting the same things regardless of how the debate went.

MagicalRealist · 28/09/2018 11:01

Yep, total set up. Posie did well keeping her cool though

Yes, this. She managed to keep a lid on her “anger” and avoided gifting the TRAs with any kind of outburst that they could use against her.

sausagebap · 28/09/2018 11:01

India is about as measured and thoughtful as a cow pat.

Mummylin · 28/09/2018 11:02

I have never posted on a feminist thread before, but I too watched the programme and think that Eamon and Ruth were completely biased. I wonder would Eamon be so happy for his wife to be searched by a Male. Disgusting attitude.

gendercritter · 28/09/2018 11:04

I've just tried to call in too but they're too busy to take the call.

I feel I have very little voice in this debate but if we all phone in to leave a comment, that will have an impact. They need to know the strength of feeling on this matter

balljuggla · 28/09/2018 11:04

Yes - can anyone make a video clip of the bit where Eamonn says trans women police officers should be able to search you without consent?

How, HOW, can this be seen as acceptable in the age of Savile, #MeToo etc...fuck fuck fuck I am so angry!
But hey, it's made me stop lurking and finally break cover!

DJLippy · 28/09/2018 11:05

The Establishment pushing through legislation without the Will of The People where have we heard this before?

The British love an under dog and that's what GC women are looking like now. Posie had perfect response.

That's very nice dear you do what you want but legally you are not a woman. Men can't change sex.

Datun · 28/09/2018 11:05

She tried to say this isn't about individuals. They wouldn't let her.

And yes, a woman has gone onto national television and said transwomen are men. And okay the reaction was a bit muted.

But bloody hell, what a coup.

It was only a few months ago that Matthew Wright walked out, purely because a woman said that a transwoman used to be a man.

Well done Posie.

heresyandwitchcraft · 28/09/2018 11:05

Posie is not talking to the people who are on a permanent diet of word salad and Kool Aid. She is talking to the ordinary people, the people on the ground of these "inclusive" policies, and who don't think you can change sex.

deepwatersolo · 28/09/2018 11:07

And at the end of the day, women are still adult human females, transwomen are not women but male, which includes male pattern violence, and Jane and Joe public instinctively understand this.

It is primarily about exposure of the rabbit hole and the demonstration that it is possible to point out that the emperor has no clothes.

When making her point about the transgender police officer she should have asked Ruth, if she, Ruth, was arrested if she'd be happy being intimately searched by a transgender male officer.

TimeLady · 28/09/2018 11:08

Well done, Posie. You were never going to win against those three.

But the unsayable has now been said. 'Transwomen are not women'

The vast majority of British public will agree with this and perhaps be more emboldened to say it themselves.

BlardyBlar · 28/09/2018 11:08

What came across to me is that it is now acceptable for women to say “no” when the TW is obviously still male (in looks [beard] or body [penis] or action [sexual assault]).

But those who assert that no man can become a woman (as Posie stated) are still painted as unreasonable.

Posie made some good points, about Karen White and the police search, yet they kept bringing it back to “but what do you have against India”.

And of course, Posie doesn’t have anything against India, but that didn’t come across and they brushed aside the risks and problems because we all have to feel sorry for India.

hackmum · 28/09/2018 11:09

I can't bring myself to watch it. But I do think that being interviewed on television is really intimidating, and especially so if you've got three people ganging up on you. So there's no point in saying "Posie should have said x, y or z..." In a situation like that you don't have time to think of exactly the right response, you're too busy trying to defend yourself.

I looked at their Twitter feed. Some sensible responses but plenty of idiots saying things like "India is more of a woman than Posie". I mean, how thick are people? Really?

RepealtheGRA · 28/09/2018 11:09

The comments on this morning on Facebook aren’t as GC as on the sky clip, but they are there.

Lots of people think transgender women are ‘adult human females’. Hmm

MagicalRealist · 28/09/2018 11:09

Eamon’s defence of the trans police officer’s right to body search women, because they feel like a woman is a perfect example of the conflict between trans rights and women’s rights.

Princessconsuelafalange · 28/09/2018 11:10

Excercise Damage Limitation

GO!!!!!!!!!!

Lurkymclurkyson · 28/09/2018 11:10

Can anyone link to their twitter thread please, I don't have twitter and can't find it.
Thank you

TwistedStitch · 28/09/2018 11:11

Lots of support for Posie under the tweet.

SophoclesTheFox · 28/09/2018 11:11

In the context of being ganged up on in the debate, princess. She was the underdog there in the context of having three people united against her. Brits don't generally like bullies.

Also, FYI, you may not use the word "cis" here. It is not permitted as many women find it extremely problematic.
