Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

They seemed to be on IW's side, if anything.
Didn't sound unbiased either, which is how I'm assuming you should be as a presenter. Though I guess that's hard if you do have a view on it (or have been told how to play it). They seemed to want Posie to sympathise with IW, and seemed shocked that as a woman, she wasn't empathetic of IW's 'struggles'.

I don't know what show you were all watching but she totally smashed it. All they have is - bus looks at IW she feels like a woman. Lots of women say she's a woman, why can't you be nice?

What was that introduction all about as well? Women are really valued in society now, have you seen #MeToo?

That was incredibly biased, and I can guarantee that not all the comments were anti-Posie. Imagine saying a woman has to be intimately searched my a male officer!

I did notice that E&R understood exactly which of the two interviewees was a woman. Only one was being asked to empathise with the other's 'journey'. Not hard to guess which . I've twittered TM to ask them where the empathy is for women.

The twitter comments on the #thismorning hashtag are depressing. Mostly fawning over India being beautiful and calm and brave. And calling Kelly-Jo vile, or a TERF, or toxic or anything else.

I'll have to wait for YouTube (overseas), buy honestly, however much they shouted her down, coverage & debate can only be good for us.

Once people start thinking about the issues, rather than vaguely assuming 'oh we should just be nice, transpeople go through all that nasty surgery & prejudice...' - once people get a good look at the actual AWAs pushing this - the conclusions only ever go one way.

If the wrong side of history is one that opposes putting children on medical pathways and opposing the idea that a woman is just a bunch of stereotyped feelings then I will happily take my place.

After all from where I'm sitting women have pretty much been written out of history at least we'll get a mention for once.

Let's not forget that when Eamon interviewed a woman who'd been raped when she was walking home from a party, he told her that next time she should make sure she took a taxi. This is not a man who likes women (and who clearly has never heard of John Worboys, but that's by the by).

The responce when you mention the rape of 4 women is not - look at poor IW (paraphrase). Sexual assault can't be brushed under the carpet now. Twitter on fire yesterday with the US Supreme Court Judge gang rape allegations. This Morning could not sound more tone death to womens safety concerns.
tbh I think This Moring looked like the heartless ones for not GAF about women who have been abused.

I think Posie needed to say very firmly that people can have sympathy for gender dysphoria and empathise with the fact that some people feel a lot of distress at being in their own body (because a minority do) but that ultimately just because a few individuals feel unhappy, doesn't mean you make sweeping changes to society which put women at risk.

Yes and also v important to get the message across that gender identity has nothing to do with physical reality, that no physical alterations are required and that “transgender” now encompasses transvestites as well as transsexuals.

It is difficult when you are put on the spot but I feel she missed some opportunities such as explaining that unlike Willoughby, most transwomen still retain their penis, the trans umbrella does include men who are sexually motivated and that there is no such thing as a female brain. The problem isn't medical (as far as we know) as those advocating for self-ID keep saying, but largely or completely due to environment.

Also I think you must never laugh at an individual transpersons story, no matter how ludicrous some of the things you are expected to accept are. It just comes across as really uncaring and unsympathetic and will not win support.

They did try to shit all over her. But you know what? There will be enough people out there who agree with Posie! They've actually allowed a woman on the show to say that trans women are not women! The silent majority thinks this is all going way too far. She was unshakeable despite the hostile audience and made some great points!
More people will start asking questions. Because it's Posie (not even really a feminist but can play the identity politics card of being a female), even men can say they agree with her!
Can we write in anywhere to ask that she be given a platform on alternative media? I think the Rubin Report or something would be a perfect fit for her.

Mmmm ok that's not a great feed it's very woke and not at all listening to the actual impact - all of these liberal minded people only know about 'real' transgender ie dysphoria and operations.

Posie really needed to hammer the point about what is now considered trans to make people realise WHERE the threat lies and how much this paves the way for misuse.
