Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

Oh my god, that was shocking. We are fucked.

rememberatime · 28/09/2018 10:48

First and last time I bother watching This Morning

AbsintheFriends · 28/09/2018 10:48

Well there was no way she was ever going to succeed there. It was deliberately stacked from the start.

Given the other coverage they've given this issue it's not surprising. They have an official take on it. Anti-woman.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 28/09/2018 10:49

They went to town on Posie but I think she came out of it looking dignified and not at all rattled. IW on the other hand looked about to flip their lid.

dolorsit · 28/09/2018 10:49

Did Posie lose her temper?

Seeingadistance · 28/09/2018 10:49

How do I contact This Morning so I can make a comment in support of what Posie was saying?

QuentinWinters · 28/09/2018 10:49

India managed to keep her cool I thought. But interesting the main argument was "be nice".
Will be interested to read Twitter, just popping over now.

CunningOperative · 28/09/2018 10:49

‘I am angry. Women are allowed to be angry.’

Posie you fucking queen. Truer words never spoken.

Hemlock2013 · 28/09/2018 10:49

I don’t think she came across well at all??

If the tras main argument is feminists or women being on the wrong side of history this completely plays into their hands.

FloraHiggins · 28/09/2018 10:49

Tweeting them might be helpful

Ariclock · 28/09/2018 10:50

Posie was brilliant even though it was three against one. Ruth and Eamon were really biased and they were doing their best to portray her as transphobic, whatever that means. Well done Posie, have a well deserved drink later Wine

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 28/09/2018 10:50

Does anyone have any idea what kind of time they come back on to discuss the topics? This is something I want on in the background all morning.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 28/09/2018 10:50

Isn’t*

SirVixofVixHall · 28/09/2018 10:50

Agree three against one, all media savvy, starts to look like bullying. India doing that patronising voice. Ugggh

silentcrow · 28/09/2018 10:50

You could try @thismorning. Disingenuous from them about Twitter support - it's by no means all in favour of India.

And that is why I haven’t watched that shite since I was first on maternity leave 20 years ago!

I do hope the general public picked up on the defence of ‘man with penis’ intimately searching women ShockShockShock that is state sponsored sexual assault.

You did well there Posie in a very, very hostile environment. Thank you for sticking up for women.

And now they’re advertising ‘butterfly’ Hmm

MagicalRealist · 28/09/2018 10:51

Wow. They were so patronising. Ruth gently commenting on how “angry” Posie seemed to be Hmm

CottonTailRabbit · 28/09/2018 10:51

I don't do twitter. I want to make the point that the vast majority of transwomen have not been through the journey IW did because most have no physical changes whatsoever and never intend to do so.

rightreckoner · 28/09/2018 10:51

That was really biased. Although I did laugh at India having a little preen when Posie said they look like a woman. It’s so utterly vacuous.

LangCleg · 28/09/2018 10:52

Eamonn: It's perfectly fine for a male police offer to stick his fingers up your fanny if he says he's a woman.

I'm fucking raging.

FusionChefGeoff · 28/09/2018 10:52

Ffs they only read out 2 tweets and they were both massively insulting to Posie.

I'm just going to check the # bet I don't have to look far to find the other view!!

Hemlock2013 · 28/09/2018 10:53

India came across as measured and thoughtful and open and Posie seemed angry and dismissive.

It wasn’t well matched.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/09/2018 10:53

Posie can hold her own, but it is really manipulative to pitch it as a personal attack on India, just to make Posie look mean.

gendercritter · 28/09/2018 10:53

That wasn't good. If I knew nothing about this debate I'd side with poor tragic India.

I think Posie needed to say very firmly that people can have sympathy for gender dysphoria and empathise with the fact that some people feel a lot of distress at being in their own body (because a minority do) but that ultimately just because a few individuals feel unhappy, doesn't mean you make sweeping changes to society which put women at risk.

I think Posie had all 3 people against her and I've no doubt that is difficult to handle bit they made her look a bit obsessed with some minor issue that is a) unimportant and b) not inclusive (vomit)
