Girl Guides need to hear from girls and their parents.

This will ultimately be the most significant influence on their decsions.

Can anyone clarify which body has asked GG to change their description to mixed sex?
I feel so sad that GG has let it come to this. All they had to do was embody their founding principles and listen to their members who consistently voted to be single sex. They've thrown away their entire legacy for woke points and funding.

If they have to actually face up to the sea change in their organisation's mission that they have actually introduced, then they may decide to change their course (or have parents, volunteers & guides make them do it). At the moment they are pretending to be what they are not.

I don't think my daughter cares that much at the moment about Brownies being single sex, she just prefers the activities, but she might grow to value that aspect of it if and when she progresses further. I certainly won't be offering services as a volunteer though.

One thing that stood out on the twitter thread following the GGUK statement was how many TRA's were saying transgirls are female.

I guess it's official that they are now coming after the word female rather than just woman.

I'm incredulous that so many people can just buy into the idea that a teenage boy regardless of pronouns, hairstyles or clothing is female.

I don't think people do buy into it and I think GG thought they could have this policy change and actually never need to face any of the obvious problems it presents because the percentage of transpeople is tiny and because GG units are small local groups where members would know if other members/leaders were trans and members would switch units accordingly. But that doesn't work when you start attending camps with other units and when parents start to question what information is being withheld from them.
GG needed to be bold and needed to fight for the girls it represents. Instead it capitulated in the worst way.

So finally the Charity Commission articles and Royal Charter WILL be dragged into this mess, if the GG has been told by ECHR it is now mixed-sex. That's a huge change to its original and established aims.

Prominant and influential TRAs such as Sarah Brown (Stonewall & Lib Dem) Sue Pascoe (Channel 4 & Conservatives) have been stressing that they are female.

I'm sure there will be TRAs in other political parties, postitions of influence who have similarly asserted this.

Looks like Jane Fae Extreme Porn Legalisation Advicate and one who has um interesting things to say about women being killed as a result of DV and who thinks that 16/17yo should be avaialbel in porn (including extreme porn?) WAS cosulted by GG when forming their policy around making sure girl guides who go on camps might be confronted with unexpected dick in their sleeping and showering areas, with no warning (or for their parents) and given that they are presented with it as a fait accompli and girls who don't like it are like RACISTS then there's fuck all they can do about it either.

I’ve emailed GG to ask what the hell is going on, and for clarification as to the single/mixed sex point. And to ask why their policies are so far out of step with every other mixed sex organisation.

I certainly won't be offering services as a volunteer though.. I’ll keep on for now, but this has left a really bad impression for me, and given they seem to be ignoring basic safeguarding practice, that could change. I’ll have a watching brief I think.

Maybe Jane Fae is trying to persuade Girl Guides to introduce an extreme porn badge.

So shelter have misrepresented the law.

And so sad to see the fuckers have been at the woodcraft folk as well. This was always mixed sex though so hopefully their guidance on mixed sex away trips is more in line with scouts than guides.

I feel sad for the fact that we've lost a protected and cherished space for girls who want and need that.

Especially with the important discussions they do create in a good unit around self esteem, personal care and sexual health, discrimination, confidence, abuse and everything. It's all subtly changed in a mixed sex environment.
