Politicians underwear

For no particular reason Wink... I wonder how many politicians have put pictures of themselves in their underwear online publicly?

It seems very odd to me that someone who says they want to be an MP and later the prime minister would do this. Surely if you were at all politically savvy you'd know this was a bad idea?

I know that some MPs have posed in swimwear- one because she had been a lifeguard & when a paper found old pics she gamely posed again to highlight lifeguards great work.

But in underwear?

Its almost as if its not empowering.

poshme · 20/09/2018 14:07

Usually MPs just send their dodgy pics to young girls on their phones.

I know you know posh Wink

AbsintheFriends · 20/09/2018 14:30

I'm not sure 'cuteness' is a quality those with serious political ambitions would be publicly emphasising either.

sorenipples · 20/09/2018 14:44

Be careful guys, to notice someone has done this is to "sexualise" them.

So many words changing meaning these days.

AngryAttackKittens · 20/09/2018 14:46

Today in the latest interview about how she plans to successfully steer us through Brexit, Theresa May said "my plan is to be really cute and post selfies in my bra".

poshme · 20/09/2018 14:48

Maybe if she did that then brexit would start being easier to negotiate?
The pic of all the leaders discussing it in Salzburg showed most of them were men.

Perhaps we should suggest that Theresa wears less clothes to these meetings?

I know someone who will pay whole British pounds for a picture of Theresa in her bathing suit at the lido.

Apart from being fireproof political undergarments should be kept private.

AngryAttackKittens · 20/09/2018 14:49

I think the cuteness is key. She should try smiling winsomely and sticking her fingers in her cheeks to create fake dimples.

WomenRoar · 20/09/2018 15:09

I actually picture people holding powerful positions in their underwear. I visualise them in off white, sagging elastic underwear to stop me feeling intimidated. Clothes and general grooming can create a powerful image, so I remove it in my mind to make others no better than anyone else.

GrimDamnFanjo · 20/09/2018 17:25

Didn't seem to harm the horrible Chris Bryant MP!

Anyone remember Chris Bryant in his Y-fronts on a dating website?

LangCleg · 20/09/2018 18:51

GrimDamnFanjo - sorry, missed what you said!

poshme · 20/09/2018 18:52

It does seem that most politicians who like having pics of themselves in their underwear are men.

I think it'd help enormously Theresa May could remember to keep a hand under her chin for no apparent reason when she's speaking on policy. Tbh, I can't take her seriously as a politician if she's not going to keep us all informed as to the size of her breasts and how cute she's feeling on any given day.

VickyEadie · 20/09/2018 18:58

I don't understand what this thread's about - can anyone enlighten me?

poshme · 20/09/2018 18:58

Which Is actually probably a good thing.

After all, if our female political people started putting pics on, say, twitter, of themselves in their bras then it sets a really bad example to young girls.

What we really DONT need is politicians, women's officers, and people who want to be taken seriously to be telling young girls that the way to get noticed is to pose in your underwear.

It's hard enough trying to convince young people not to send each other picture sexts.

poshme · 20/09/2018 18:59

Vicky, it's just a general thread about how weird it would be if women involved in politics were to start putting pictures of themselves in their underwear online.
