TRAs going after MN sponsors- BirdsEye

A few weeks ago I read about a plan to target MN sponsors in order to shut us down. Looks like it is starting with Birdseye. Anyone fancy going over and saying their bit?

Their tactics aren’t waffley versatile, are they?

I have to say that cold fish fingers are not nice

Not to my taste, but fussy eater DS loved them. He had to go on a Playgroup trip without me and with a packed lunch and wouldn't eat anything you could put in a sandwich.

Cold fish fingers were the answer! Loved them.

What's the chickpea mix thing?

EIGHTEEN products are in my favourites including

Chicken nuggets
chicken dippers (not sure I realised they were different)
Peas
Petit pois (fancy peas?)
fishfingers
of course potato waffles which I'm not keen on but I must admit they are waffley versatile
and an arctic roll which I don't remember buying at all so must be something to do with DH it feels like his kind of thing

Ooh I love a cold fish finger! As long as the outside is really crunchy. Soggy undercooked fish fingers are the pits

Other fish fingers just aren't the same are they. This all blew up before, I imagine Birds Eye HQ had good fun with it.

Hmmm, shall we retain the trust of the nations mothers, or shall we try to appeal to a niche section first year university students, all of whom buy own brand food and most of whom are vegan?

It is a mix of chickpeas, spinach and cauliflower.

Haven't you heard Gulags only use fresh ingredients to prodcue balanced tasty 3 course meals, each meal having a choice of meat, poutry, fish, veggie or vegan.

They usually put the arts classes after the lunch session so everyone gets a change to digest comfortably. More strenuous activities like pottery and theatre group are mid morning.

Fish finger sandwiches are the food of the gods... And Captain Birdseye is suddenly looking rather buff and rugged on them too I note.

Blue haired shouty outraged people of variable genders (depending on if it's Monday or Friday) are never going to buy as much freezer food of the battered fish variety for themselves, their angst and their cat as families.

And I now have the waffly versatile song stuck in my head about potato waffles.

Always Birdseye fishfingers in thud house. Kids and DH love them

Hopefully Birdseye don’t cave the the pressure as I would need to source them elsewhere.

I’m worried about this one. I mean...will we even have a proper freezer? Or will we just have one of those single slots at the top of an under counter fridge? The likes of which freeze over in 3 days straight making your bottle of vodka inaccessible.

I love lots of Birdseye stuff, especially custard, waffles, fish fingers and peas.
men in frocks won't put me off.

what do you do with it

I tend to throw it in a curry or blend it up to make burgers. Also makes a nice lunch if you sprinkle over some cumin and whack it in a pitta.

I imagine it will be snowy outside in the gulag so we will effectively have unlimited freezer space.

By the way birds eye, when I am bored of being an omnishambles, I promise to become waffley versatile. Free advertising

I just Googled the chickpea and spinach mix. They do Mexican and Italian bean mixes too! This is looking promising.
