Harrop and his merry band of TRAs are trying to convince Caroline Lucas that it's all the fault of evil terfs really.

That Jessen tweet cannot actually be for real, can it? It can't be him saying human sacrifice was okay because of "cultural context"?

Child marriage, sex between a 40 year old man and 12 year old girl = child rape. It's really that simple. NEVER OKAY.

Culturally or religiously inspired murder. NEVER OKAY.

Incidentally, I doubt Jessen would justify the stoning of gays in certain parts of the world because of "cultural context," because it is also NEVER OKAY.

This kind of "cultural relativism" is idiotic, racist and very dangerous.

A 'cultural context' which supports ethically indefensible behaviours is worse than rogue offenders.

'cultural contexts' (very often religious but also other dogmas eg communism) have a worse impact than what disturbed lone wolves may do because they license 'ordinary' people to do evil.

Unforunately I wasn't actually doubting that it's real, more HOPING that someone who is a medical doctor isn't this ignorant of basic ethics and morals. WTAF is Jessen doing with this lunacy? And I agree with Errol, the social sanctioning in a "cultural context" of abhorrent acts like persecution, child rape and murder is far more dangerous than your garden-variety offender acting alone.

Dr C proving you don't have to be bright to be a doctor. Celeb facelift = horrible butchery of person with dysmorphia by negligent surgeon. Cutting off someone's healthy sex organs / breasts = really important life saving surgery by noble medical practitioner.

Someone I follow on Twitter (a man) came out as gc (more as 'this is batshit') by retweeting one of the Spectator articles. I noticed that the subject of this thread got hold of it and attempted his usual brand of 'minimising the GRA thing/mansplaining/lying about the current Equalities Act situation'. Really have got nothing to do with their time, do they?

I could have sworn I saw Harrop on BBC news today at 6pm. The sound was off and I was trying to make a phonecall just out of the room but it looked so like him. It wasn't a trans story so I can't believe it was him and if it was, surely he'd be crowing about it on Twitter. Did anyone watch it?

Ok, I found it.

Dr Harrop was talking on South East today on behalf of the Doctor's Association UK regarding a highly skilled foreign doctor whose divorce has left her unable to work or remain in the UK.

I am pretty horrified tbh. I know it's no secret Harrop wants a media career but surely one peek at his Twitter account shows you you don't want to give him airtime? What was the BBC thinking??
