Previous thread here:

Will post links to AC's public statement and Caroline Lucas's appalling white wash job in a moment, but for me, Andrew Gilligan nails it yet again:

No Cat it's not - and whatever the reasons - the need to acknowledge the harm that has been caused to many many women by their party officials needs to be acknowledged. Mealy mouthed renditions of "we are against male violence" aren't going to cut it by any means now and are frankly as laughable as they are offensive.

And all the parties are complicit in this sex-DARVO.

thecatfromjapan · 01/09/2018 02:30

It occurs to me that Aimee is also a symbol in this struggle - and that it may not be the 'greeny' Greens that win the struggle. It may well be that Aimee is exonerated, reinstated ... and a lot of members leave ... but so what, eh?

And Tina Challoner ... what will happen there?

Because she is quite difficult 'baggage' to deal with, even if she is quietly expelled (as she may have been already)?

pamish · 01/09/2018 02:33

Just come across this from Tina from 2015, presumably when DC was busted. No sympathy for her, at all. NB The 'slut' is the victim.

cat, I thought about inviting Teresa. Then I tried to actually envisage it. And realised I could see her awkwardly chatting to the labradors, but struggling with the gin and ruthless honesty requirement. #barred

BitOfFun · 01/09/2018 02:42

There have been so many threads about this that I can't remember where I read it or what the source was, but I didn't imagine Tina Challenor allegedly denouncing the victim as a fantasist, did I? On Facebook, iirc?

womanformallyknownaswoman · 01/09/2018 02:42

NB The 'slut' is the victim.

That's so disgusting - how can a 10-year-old be a slut?

It's hard all of this stuff to analyse - the subject of a longer comment and I need to go - will come back to it - when women become "hostaged and collaborators" what basis can one use to judge? Is it him speaking thru her/has she diminished responsibility because her mind and hence value systems have been grossly compromised by him? She, as many exited cult members will attest to, became puppets and perpetrated offences unwittingly on the behalf of the psychopathic leader - so complex - back later

RedToothBrush · 01/09/2018 02:45

Theresa just isn't a good dinner guest is she? Whatever you do don't stick on some music to break the ice. She might start trying to dance again.

RedToothBrush · 01/09/2018 02:51

Interesting historical tweet.

RE Tina, I have an image of her as being totally mutually wrapped up in DC - ref that we-moved-in-in-36-hours article - and that the two of them have created an island that rebuffs all invaders. Add the three kids, they fought off all attempts by social services to find out what was happening and are good at using press and outrage to get sympathy.

Yes, DC s defence backed up by Tina was that the victim was playing with his sex toys and was a fantasist. By pleading not guilty he made that child testify in court - but at least that gamble cost him the discount a guilty plea brings - 50%? Now DC is gone , expect her to become the victim esp as she now has to live alone/with Aimee? and uses a wheelchair. I'm not going to be popping round to make her tea.

thecatfromjapan · 01/09/2018 03:01

Red 🤨

Well found.

RedToothBrush · 01/09/2018 03:03

Can't take credit. Being shared on twitter

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 01/09/2018 03:04

Tina called the victim a 'Lying little slut'

She was 10 years old.

I've raised and nurtured 10 year old girls and in my experience they are interested in minecraft, still need teddies in bed to make them feel safe, still want to watch Pixar films, are a beginning to be interested in pop music.

It's a stage in their lives when they're just waking up a bit in terms of adult stuff and are curious but still children.

They can never be described as Lying sluts, they are completely innocent.

BitOfFun · 01/09/2018 03:06

Pamish , is there any record of the court proceedings online? I have found a baffling silence even when looking for when the crimes actually took place.

I've followed other proceedings (e.g. In the Helen Bailey murder trial), and assumed that similarly serious crimes would merit the same sort of press interest.

RedToothBrush · 01/09/2018 03:09

Anyway off to bed. Tomorrow will be interesting. Sunday papers more so too I hope

pamish · 01/09/2018 03:52

Still putting the timeline together. 2010 the kids escaped being put into care (tho still on registers). Dec 2013 prosecution for animal abuse. Sometime after that/then? all 3 into care, dont know why. Sept 2015 DC busted see tweet above. Charged 2016. Prelim hearing november ? 2017 . Court case august 2018.

The local paper did run the final story so may be a source of those other dates. Someone is investigating getting a court transcript but for an 11-day trial it will be v ££. It may have lots redacted.

EverardDigby · 01/09/2018 06:13

That Green Party Women statement is awful. Also confusing because didn't Aimee acknowledge somewhere that Aimee should have informed the GP on reflection? The statement just seems very partisan compared to the independent investigation from the main party.

Natsku · 01/09/2018 06:36

Wait, so DC was election agent for Tina too? During the same time frame i.e. after he was charged? Has anyone tweeted the green party asking about this?

sashh · 01/09/2018 07:23

I have found a baffling silence even when looking for when the crimes actually took place.

That might be to protect the child.

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 01/09/2018 08:49

I am quite Shock at how people are rushing to shout 'of course so and so is completely innocent' ahead of an inquiry when a. It's really obvious that that person gas NOT done everything right (by their own admission even) and b. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU RUN AN INQUIRY INTO SAFEGUARDING FAILURES.

Amalfimamma · 01/09/2018 09:36

pamish

31st January 2013 kids took into care and rscpa called re the animal abuse.

Aimee went back home as soon as they turned 16 so October 2013.

Green party women have put out a statement saying they knew, the party knew and all support is with Aimee and the mother.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 01/09/2018 09:41

I also find it interesting the complete lack of, well anything, about Tina Challenor.

As others have said, I guess it doesnt fit the narrative of "nasty transphobes attacking poor Aimee"

Ereshkigal · 01/09/2018 09:41

Cat how many of the Green Party Women Leadership are women not trans women?

Was my thought exactly. Is there a picture anywhere or a member list?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 01/09/2018 09:46

Was my thought exactly. Is there a picture anywhere or a member list?

(C&Pd from another thread)

According to their website greenpartywomen.org.uk/people/ :
The Equality and Diversity Coordinator(s) who sits on GPEx (our national Executive Committee) is/are also automatically a member of our Committee unless they are are a man

So Aimee would have been on the Green Women Committee. Interestingly despite a link at the top of the page that to "details of our current Green Party Women committee and how to get in touch with them" there are no details, just a contact email

Today 09:04 ItsAllGoingToBeFine

Interestingly information on the committee members was present in Sept 2017...

Zeugma · 01/09/2018 09:50

Aimee went back home as soon as they turned 16 so October 2013.

I see the GP Women statement claims AC wasn't living at home when DC was charged in November 2016.

Amalfimamma · 01/09/2018 09:51

Zeugma

They also claim they weren't living at home when the incident took place. 2 lies, one statement
