Previous thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3347925-Green-Party-statement-continuation-thread?pg=40

Will post links to AC's public statement and Caroline Lucas's appalling white wash job in a moment, but for me, Andrew Gilligan nails it yet again:

Prerecorded interview.

BettyDuMonde · 04/09/2018 17:11

Not coming across as particularly plausible!

JillyArmeeen · 04/09/2018 17:13

Mentioned the deadnaming of her friend that was linked here.
He's asking if she's jumped before being pushed. Interviewer seems quite good.
Never heard aimee speak before. She doesn't seem too bright.
Apparently she informed GP about the arrest in November 2016!

VickyEadie · 04/09/2018 17:14

Not able to listen at present - any summarised excerpts, anyone?

VickyEadie · 04/09/2018 17:14

Apparently she informed GP about the arrest in November 2016!

So - still appointed father as agent.

Lied about not knowing about it until recently.

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 17:15

Aimee admits they knew their father was facing, quote "serious charges" in 2016, but not what they were and involving a child and still thought it was ok to use an election agent.

face palm

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 17:16

Never heard aimee speak before. She doesn't seem too bright.

I'd be less polite than that.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 04/09/2018 17:16

Listening now...

Uses word 'assault' to refer to criticism

Glad we can't see Aimee but we can hear Aimee's womanly voice

And ermergerd the reference to the horrible deadnaming!!

Aimee lies. Aimee is fucked up.

Aimee is as unconvincing as they come

And the way Aimee lists all the voluntary activities his father was involved in, almost as if he's proud - "look at all the good deeds he did"

thecatfromjapan · 04/09/2018 17:17

Who did she inform...?

Can she substantiate that claim?

Go on, Aimee. Carry on proving why the Party should never have foregone safeguarding and oversight and boosted you in the first place.

arranfan · 04/09/2018 17:19

Aimee admits they knew their father was facing, quote "serious charges" in 2016,

But providentially coincidentally had to, for unrelated reasons, propose amendments to the GP constitution that would limit the GP's power to summarily expel members who have been convicted of a serious crime?

However, good sense of media for AC to have agreed a pre-recorded interview.

VickyEadie · 04/09/2018 17:20

And the way Aimee lists all the voluntary activities his father was involved in, almost as if he's proud - "look at all the good deeds he did"

Aimee doesn't appear to realise that (a) her dad committed some of the worst crimes against a child imaginable and (b) his "good deeds" were almost certainly in order to get close to children for unpleasant reasons.

The mystery over Aimee not understanding why safeguarding is important continues...

BettyDuMonde · 04/09/2018 17:20

The only instances of ‘transphobia’ within the Green Party that AC has sited (AC’s reason for quitting) seem to be Lucas’ new found interest in talking to feminists (alluded to) and the deadnaming of AC’s mate via email (most likely due to that person being officially recorded on the membership list under their male name, or having their subs paid from a bank account in that name). AC admits this could’ve been an error.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 04/09/2018 17:20

Aimee is clearly not very bright. But cunning. I am pretty sure she's used the word safeguarding because she's heard it used against her on places like here.

Datun · 04/09/2018 17:21

Aimee is attempting to pin transphobia on the party by subtlety implying they're linking him to his dads crimes.

Also saying they knew about 'serious crimes' way back when.

Also deadnaming of a mate in an email. (Which apparently was because the person joined as a man so database had old name)

Aimee didn't know they involved 'a child' until sentencing. Apparently.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 04/09/2018 17:22

Vicki

Yes. It's very creepy. There's total emotional disconnection. Unsurprisingly.

VickyEadie · 04/09/2018 17:23

Aimee didn't know they involved 'a child' until sentencing. Apparently.

That's not remotely credible, is it?

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 17:23

Quote: "Its made me question my childhood".

ding ding ding....

...yes start doing that.

Datun · 04/09/2018 17:23

"JUdged because of his actions"

Bingo.

Datun · 04/09/2018 17:24

I'm not stepping back fully from public life.

Lysistrataknowsherstuff · 04/09/2018 17:24

"I'm being judged because of his actions" - no you're being judged because of your own!

But she's not stepping back fully from public life you'll all be pleased to hear 🤦‍♀️

JillyArmeeen · 04/09/2018 17:25

The more I think about this whole mess the more pissed off I get.
GP replied to a resignation email in the name they had on file. Apparently this is deadnaming and pushing back the right of trans people, enough to make you quit your job (that you've already been suspended from)
Has aimee said anything about the fact one of their friends leaked the name of her fathers child victim? Which is actually, literally illegal. And putting that child in real danger.
The priorities are completely screwed.
What are these global politics she's been involved with?
Still on stonewalls advisory board.
Have they said anything?

BettyDuMonde · 04/09/2018 17:25

AC claims to have joined the party in 2014 and is proud to have led the party on equality issues (trans equality issues!). However, having concluded that the greens are not as transfriendly as they were 4 years ago, has quit in protest.

But if it were AC who was leading the party on these issues, so surely, it’s her fault if trans equality has been rolled back? Confused

LadybirdsAreBirds · 04/09/2018 17:25

Listening to next bit:

Talking about himself
Not the child, first and foremost - emotional disconnection
Self pity - I'm being judged
I'll step away...

And yet here you are, justifying yourself, accusing others

"Expert at the Oxford Union"

Go away and sort yourself out Aimee. Can you? Can you face it?

LadybirdsAreBirds · 04/09/2018 17:26

Green party statement:

Reaffirming that Transwomen are Women

thecatfromjapan · 04/09/2018 17:29

VickyEadie

No. It's not.

But can only be proved by child going public or people speaking out and risking making identity of victim known.

Very cynical on Aimee's part.

Mother's FB rants - if Aimee was a FB friend (highly likely) + fact she's Aimee's mother - strongly point to Aimee knowing. But not provesble.
