Previous thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3347925-Green-Party-statement-continuation-thread?pg=40

Will post links to AC's public statement and Caroline Lucas's appalling white wash job in a moment, but for me, Andrew Gilligan nails it yet again:

I am glad people like you are trawling the cesspit that is Twitter. I am not in. Haven't got the stomach for it

🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯

Plonking some handy candles about so we can still see.

Cos the dark stuff is darkening.

Lib Dem leadership might want to take a peek at twitter and note the oh so few degrees of separation + unusual common interest.

Right now it looks, unpleasant, but a fairly superficial connection for the LDs. However I expect the Greens to discover "common interest" threads running deep through their various sub groups. And I am not putting any money down on the LibDems being guaranteed a wholly different outcome.

I'm at the point where I think it might only be a matter of time before highly toxic "uncomfortably few degrees of separation" and "common interest" threads are discovered in Labour and WEP too . I strongly suspect that if discovered in other parties they will be there in the conservatives too, but I think they'll be harder to find. Perhaps due to the tendency towards a lot more online caution in an older, richer crowd.

It's potentially early day days in the Dark Stuff coming out. Could just be dusk. We might not be even close to the witching hour yet.

If things keep moving at this rate ... Aimee's breadcrumb trails might turn into a fallen Green Ace that eventually brought a huge house of cards falling down.

I agree. I have seen a potentially significant link to another political party, which I won't mention until proven but I do not think we have plumbed the depths yet.

And again for all reading - THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ADEQUATE SAFEGUARDING IS DISBANDED.

arranfan · 02/09/2018 11:48

What the hell is Stonewall condoning?!?!?!?!?!

Stonewall is so firmly convinced by its halo status and past as a virtuous civil rights group on the right side of history that it can not all the tiniest reflection that maybe, just maybe, they've gone a bit far. Nor can they afford to consider the ways in which they're encouraging the abrogation of other citizens civil rights with this beyond parodic virtue-signalling.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 11:51

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ADEQUATE SAFEGUARDING IS DISBANDED.

That should be made into a very big blimp, and hovered over the HoC.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 11:54

What the hell is Stonewall condoning?!?!?!?!?!

Now there's a question. There is the distinct possibility that colonisation has gone well beyond the boundaries of what we already knew.

It's not surprising. It's not shocking. It's as predictable as fuck.

We have safeguarding to protect individuals and to protect organisations against abuser infiltration. If you don't have adequate safeguarding, it doesn't matter who you are or what you do, abusers will infiltrate you.

And here we are, watching abuser infiltration play out in real time.

We fucking told you this would happen and you did not listen.

RedToothBrush · 02/09/2018 12:01

I am also of the opinion that there is some very dark stuff about to break in the coming weeks and months.

Re: Stonewall.
There's an interesting dilema brewing for them.

Challenor's position with them was partly based on their status and influence within the Green Party. Being suspended from the party removes their power. The Verita report is going to go one of two ways; if it finds Challenor clear of wrong doing, then it will almost certainly find the Green Party guilty of some sort of abdiction of duty of care to Aimee OR it will find Challenor guilty of wrong doing and the Green Party neglegent of safe guarding the party.

Stonewall are screwed either way. If they wash their hands of Challenor they face a backlash from the viralent TRAs who don't want Stonewall to be seen to be throwing a transwoman under the bus in 'a witchhunt' but if they stand by Challenor they leave themselves open to a real issue and wider backlash from the public about their actions and influence.

Their position on not questioning and scrutinising transwomen better seems untenable in the long run, either way.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 12:06

I have a nifty mind mapping app with graphics appeal. It lets you overlay labelled connections between individual points and clusters.

If anybody can knock out a quick hand drawn mind map of the personalities and their connections, take a pic and PM me. I'll keep a digital copy updated as we go. With colour coding for political parties and key organisations. And an icon to highlight those with "declared common interest"

Because a picture can be worth a thousand words, when the words are a billion tweets deep and some people might give up feeling too overwhelmed to join all the dots on their own.

Ereshkigal · 02/09/2018 12:09

That sounds fantastic Cesira. I am good at organising these things in my mind and bells will ring when I see something related, but not good at being able to reproduce or articulate the interconnectedness of this for others.

I had to take a month off...and since I went back in a day hasn't gone past when i haven't seen a new man in nappies.

I remember in the 90s there was a programme on C4 (must have been C4 right?), about a house in Gillingham Kent where men would go to get their nappy changed and to get their literal dick-heads rubbed onto cheese graters. I remember it because I lived in the town at the time and it was a topic of conversation for years amongst our circles. Any mention of grated cheese would result in a plethora of related gags long after the cheese had been put back in the fridge.

I never thought a time would come when all the political parties would champion these men against the normal everyday vanilla common or garden human that they pretend to represent.

This is where we are now. The major political parties are fully behind the stunning and brave nappy wearing males who get their kicks/kinks in furry animal costumes who also engage in lots and lots of contact with younger generations and who call themselves cartoon names.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 12:19

Ereshkigal

We need to team up. I find it harder to hold it all in my head and map the varied, overlapping connections. End up with a tangled ball of string in my head and get frustrated. But can work pretty well to form a tangible (as in colour coded with icons rights in front of me) visual based on the contents of a more organised and less distracted mind.

I can translate the visual from text, as long as the text arrives in clear, concise bits rather than a massive complicated block. Massive blocks cause panic and procrastination.

I have a base I was already working on. But I need to change app, shift the structure to a party alligences and orgs, and add the growing number of new clusters and points.

I'm going to centre the structure around party alliegences and orgs, rather than the people at the chronological start point because it is moving well beyond them in terms of gravity. Although I will put them near the centre of the graphic to provide a familiar entry point to start to view.

BitOfFun · 02/09/2018 12:32

We need a Carrie Mathieson Wall Of Madness with post-it notes and string.

Then we can stand and gaze at it and say "What am I missing? What am I not seeing?" before we have an epiphany and blow that shit wide open Grin

Ereshkigal · 02/09/2018 12:33

Yes I think that's the sort of thing Cesira has a virtual app for.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/09/2018 12:39

Do it in private. If you reveal the dots you intend to join here they will be deleted by those who'd rather their proclivities and connection to each other remain hidden.

TimeLady · 02/09/2018 12:42

The security services have missed a trick not employing some of you lot Grin

Kyanite · 02/09/2018 12:53

I am fed up with woke bros' selective blindness...one minute cheering Stonewall's catch-all definition and the next minute denying that David Challenor is trans. According to Stonewall's definition, you don't have to call yourself trans to be trans, and just being a crossdresser (amongst other things) makes you trans.

arranfan · 02/09/2018 12:55

major political parties are fully behind the stunning and brave nappy wearing males who get their kicks/kinks in furry animal costumes who also engage in lots and lots of contact with younger generations and who call themselves cartoon names.

Adopting Mrs Campbell Patrick's approach for now of "don't do it in the streets and frighten the horses!"...Is it probable that the majority of people who have this lifestyle have no wish to be cross-generational and choose only to engage in consensual activities with consenting adults? That they have children and are horrified by the proposed safeguarding changes that are being pushed through?

Is there any sense that people who wish to destroy safeguarding are a disproportionately powerful minority but a tiny minority. And, these are the people who should be recusing themselves from giving evidence on safeguarding because their lifestyle (at best) gives the potential for appearing to present a conflict of interest?

I have no feel for the size of the various communities but it is startling how much the power structure from various organisations seems to be bound up in it. Again, it seems like it might be a tiny, but unbelievably well-placed, minority.

carceralfeminist · 02/09/2018 12:58

David Challenor ABSOLUTELY falls under Stonewall's own definition of "trans," given he is a cross-dresser and insisted on being referred to as a little girl. Also, how dare these TRAs assume DC's gender identity? For all they know he is genuinely gender-fluid and only IDs as a female when he is raping 10 year olds. These dickheads cannot have it both ways. Either trans means what YOU yourselves say it does, or you need to examine your own fucking definitions and set some goddamned clear boundaries.
Are furries/baby fetish LARPers now part of the ever-widening Stonewall "umbrella" of LGBTQMNVBCXZLKDKFJGHSAOPRITNGHTUWIQRT12$£568&8BSENDHTSKABTIAHYEOCNBYE?
Are they just "born that way" (the poor diddums)?
Should we be championing the rights for these real and valid "identities" to be made into protected categories in law?
Because the way this is going, it's looking like Stonewall may as well make it official....
"Acceptance without exception."

I am livid.

BitOfFun · 02/09/2018 13:01

Yup.

Excellent news, I remember this was discussed last week. It's ideal especially to produce pdfs to be distributed as memes. I'm happy to share the results once produced.

Turph · 02/09/2018 13:38

I've registered but it seems quiet! Not many members yet.

Perhaps our new FWR motto.

Let's not forget Bradley and their long time predilection for getting their kit off.
