Previous thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3347925-Green-Party-statement-continuation-thread?pg=40

Will post links to AC's public statement and Caroline Lucas's appalling white wash job in a moment, but for me, Andrew Gilligan nails it yet again:

I am also of the opinion that there is some very dark stuff about to break in the coming weeks and months.

I absolutely agree Red. We know there arej journos and other public figures nailing their colours to the mast now. They have to be as revolted by all this as we are.

They are reading here and on twitter. Perhaps the mind-maps etc could be shared with them?

sashh · 02/09/2018 14:03

The security services have missed a trick not employing some of you lot

Maybe they are not missing anything. Wink

Perhaps our new FWR motto.

No I want to use, "I'm not a Shania Twain lyric" because whenever they say they feel like a woman that's what I think.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 14:05

OK, think I've sorted the first 8 out. And their connections. I've got lines streaking right across the page from one cluster to another, as well as a central person from whom all links emanate. And it's not who you'd think when first reading the headlines. Possible I've muddled one real person and one AKA, but not sure yet.

Feels like untangling a ball of wool after a kitten (real, not in costume with dubious stains) has played with it for a few hours.

Using

green for ... greens
yellow for lib dem
grey for ... I have no idea what they are yet.
purple for stonewall

need to work up the stonewall connections

Common interests denoted with baby icon.

The connections look... incestuous is the word that comes to mind. Not choosing it on purpose. But... fucking hell.

Not releasing it on here. I agree with don't do it in the streets and frighten the horses!"

Will eventually have to be released as a pdf cos.... getting big already. Need space for the connections.

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 14:10

Let's not forget Bradley and their long time predilection for getting their kit off.

Anybody want to knock me out the connections here. Stonewall ? NUS and ... any other org ? Does Mermaids feature ? Didn't they start up a whole heap of poncy self important sounding orgs ? Or was that another one ? Any cross over with the names that have cropped up so far ? Worked together on anything ? Named on a common who's who ?

I can have more than one adult tree and cross link from one to t'other. So not an issue if not in the primary cluster directly.

Any ideas for an icon for that predilection? Light bulb ?

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 14:16

According to Stonewall's definition, you don't have to call yourself trans to be trans, and just being a crossdresser (amongst other things) makes you trans.

No! You have not understood it at all!

If a (even long dead) person once wore a tie, or fluffy slippers THEY can (if necessary retrospectively) trans them. Particularly if a convenient person to have in their camp.

But if WE notice a massive match in very specific habits/behaviour etc between the labels under the umbrella and a person, WE cannot trans them. Particularly if dead inconvient for the TRAs to have in their camp.

I hope that helps explain the rules of the cat and mouse game we've been forced to play.

WomblingWoman · 02/09/2018 14:19

JB has links to Action for Trans Health and TELI I believe.

AspieAndProud · 02/09/2018 14:22

Remember Norman Lamont and Miss Whiplash? Whiplash was a dominatrix who worked at a flat owned by Lamont. He had absolutely nothing to do with what she was doing there but the press was all over it for months. But a young child is raped in the home of a Green Party candidate and from the press... crickets.

ShrodingersSturdyPyjamas · 02/09/2018 14:22

What you need is an off-Mumsnet method of doing this...

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 14:27

I'm not on twitter, so that one is out. Anybody got any suggestions?

Isn't this a little like the religions that retrospectively baptise you into their faith after your death?

TimeLady · 02/09/2018 14:43

Looking a bit wider...

Simon Blake, Chief Exec at NUS, is also a trustee of Stonewall

silentcrow · 02/09/2018 14:44

Cesira you may need colours/icons for crosslinks to Scouts, Guides, sports bodies and charities as well as political parties.

Wrt security services etc...realistically there's a lot of information we ordinary people can't get at. Probably none of us want to go digging around the "dark web" even if we wanted to, I've seen enough TV shows about traumatised coppers working in child protection to know that none of us are prepared for that. What we can do is the pulling together of threads of publicly available material for our own protection; so that we can have informed choice about e.g. voting or which organisations don't meet our safeguarding thresholds; so we can challenge structures and bad laws; and hopefully provide leads for investigative journalists (hi!) or police to follow up on. It is good work even when it feels too hard or futile - the pushback alone shows us that.

Crwban · 02/09/2018 14:54

Not sure if it's been asked, but what's with all the furry creatures mentioned in all these tweets? Why bears and furry animals?

terryleather · 02/09/2018 14:57

Brilliant Cesira, the MN trello board will actually be a thing!

I read the boards avidly on FWR and have for ages but I get confused over who's who and how they connect - it would be so helpful to have a visual rather than text and as a tech luddite I'd have no idea where to start...

CesiraAndEnrico · 02/09/2018 15:02

Twitter says the Greens are cleaning house.

arranfan · 02/09/2018 15:31

Twitter says the Greens are cleaning house.

That "Hello World" thing is ridiculous (and, inadvertently, Hello C+ people, saying something about who is probably doing this). If the GP were taking this seriously, there would be a notice along these lines:

The Green Party has engaged an outside agency to conduct an independent investigation of several items that have received widespread publicity. In order to cooperate with the investigators, we have temporarily taken our web content offline and frozen it.

We have an email contact for necessary enquiries.

Thank you for your patience and normal service will be resumed as soon as is practical.

CesiraAndEnrico
What about here for an off-MN repository for the Trello?

www.genderhammer.com/genderhammer.com/viewforum.php?f=73

It's new, apparently. I haven't joined myself yet but it's set up by a well-known GC feminist.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/09/2018 15:52

Crwban It's apparently a well-known fetish. They dress up as animals and have 'furry' identities. They also dress in outsize nappies and pretend to be small children. All while having sex.

David Challenor was into it. He was dressed as a small girl and wearing a nappy when he raped and tortured his victim.

People are discovering lots of links between those in this fetishistic sub-culture.

RE Genderhammer - The problem is it's public and this stuff best done behind closed doors

I am down the mother of all google rabbit holes. No new news exactly, just connection confirming and strengthening. Come pull me out if I don't emerge by tea time.

And can I just say, personally I have never had a BIL or SIL contact me via SM using my fetish profile.

Partly cos I don't have a fetish profile 🍨. And even if I did, I can't think of anything worse than SIL/BIL knowing about it, let alone joining in.

But what do I know, old fuddy duddy that I am.

Please also remind me to change modem password before DS flys home tomorrow and NEVER LET MY BABY ON THE NET AGAIN.

It's like a fecking sewer out there. And this is normal net, not dark net.

For now, until a private place can be found, any connection or addition you want to waggle at the Mind Map, my PMs are open. A source or two would help, even if just a link to a tweet so I can follow the trail.

WomblingWoman · 02/09/2018 16:51

If you want to link up the LibDems there's a lot of good info here and also a link within that thread to another that has lots of info on the people running LibDem LGBT+

It also includes tweets from them supporting AC when there seems to have been a discussion on removing the spokesperson post.

Mamaryllis · 02/09/2018 16:57

Cesira, I think Peachyoghurt was setting up a private GC space? It whizzed by on my timeline a few days ago and I meant to message her but didn’t. Might be worth scoping out?

WomblingWoman · 02/09/2018 17:05

She has - it's genderhammer.com

Linked to below.
