Re results disappearing from search engines: Aimee has at minimum "script kiddie" technical skills and was formerly associated with Anonymous. /S?[Hh]e/ will also be able to enlist the help of autogynophile IT workers in influencing Google results. Lastly, Google itself has drunk the koolaid. Try other search engines: Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ask.

When you find something, bookmark the link, put it here, and put into the Wayback Machine or similar archive.

One of ACs partners is a hacker.

BitOfFun · 26/08/2018 23:57

Ah, makes sense!

kooshbin · 26/08/2018 23:59

There are a couple of things that annoy me about that statement: “involving a minor” – no, “against a child”. The victim was a girl who was still in primary school.

And “will learn from any lessons that process reveals” – almost implying that there won’t be anything wrong about their systems.

Nitpicking, I know, but they needed to be meticulous in their wording.

kooshbin · 27/08/2018 00:03

It'll be interesting if the Daily Mail still has the article on their main online page in the morning, and what the comments will be.

Destinysdaughter · 27/08/2018 00:06

I think the comments will be brutal...DM readers don’t mince their words. Terfblocker ain’t gonna help Aimee now.

BitOfFun I hope you are right. But these acts of retrofitting- you could possibly construe that they may blur future connections. Are they in fact re-writing history? Can this kind of thing be traced if it’s not screen shot by keen eyed followers of all this. Why do they need to do it? it’s a lot of effort to go to. This needs to get very public very fast so that all these connections stay live.

Procrastinator1 · 27/08/2018 00:08

Stonewell are getting an easy ride so far considering Aimee is still shown as part of their trans advisory committee.

This is what Stonewall says about the recruitment process for the committee

"Members of the group were appointed following an extensive application and recruitment process. Please note, some members of the group have elected to remain anonymous, so have not been included on this list."

BitOfFun · 27/08/2018 00:09

I agree, kooshbin. "Involving a minor" has unpleasant connotations of "looked old enough" and the suggestion of possible complicity, even.

kooshbin · 27/08/2018 00:20

That's it exactly, BitOfFun. I couldn't find the words to describe how uneasy that phrase made me feel.

colouringinpro · 27/08/2018 00:21

Absolutely nothing on The Guardian. But hey, there's an article about ice cream on their homepage.

Amalfimamma · 27/08/2018 00:23

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 27/08/2018 00:31

A lot of the laws around the crimes Challenor committed do use the word "minor". So I'm not (necessarily) going to assume bad faith on the Green Party's part because of that.

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 27/08/2018 00:34

"Involving a minor". Jesus. No. That's a 21 year old footballer getting off with a 15 year old in a nightclub.
Aimee's father raped and tortured a little girl.
The Green Party's mealy mouthed tone is sickening.

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 27/08/2018 00:34

Ice cream, eh. The fucking Guardian have clearly completely misunderstood the Mumsnet Biscuit and the crumble discussions, and think we can be distracted by confectionery...

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 27/08/2018 00:37

X post. But this is not a legal statement, it's a PR statement. People are very angry. It's not the time for damage limitation, it's the time for scorched Earth, holding up of hands and telling the truth no matter what.
Not fucking dancing around it.

kooshbin · 27/08/2018 01:01

I understand the point you make, BeautifulDog, that that is what's in the language of the law. But I've read very many court judgments, and judges, especially in the Family Court, try to use language that is clearer to laypeople than the formal wording of the laws involved. Hence the use of "young person", or "child", or "infant".

The use of "minor" in the GP statement feels to me like someone trying to sound like a lawyer or someone using a catch-all term to swerve away from the fact that it was a child.

I don't mean to criticise the point you've raised. Just that I've seen it done better than the latest GP statement.

Wanted to thank Cesira for continuing to save this thread. Large threads have been known to just disappear here. This thread could one of the few places to document what has happened (so quickly) during all of this.

haXXor's advice is good:
When you find something, bookmark the link, put it here, and put into the Wayback Machine or similar archive.

I do believe we will be seeing many more similar scandals in the near future. It is the nature of the TRAs. We have been on the receiving end of their behaviour for many years now. The dominoes are falling.

Destinysdaughter · 27/08/2018 01:28

Guardian not reporting but it has this instead:

coventry telegraph has reported it under crime and courts, ie away from the front pages of news.

thecatfromjapan · 27/08/2018 01:52

Only some 18% of the population, apparently, support the TRA agenda. And that holds good across all age groups. I hope the Conservative Women's Minister doesn't get bullied into retracting a very moderate, common-sense statement.

It is ridiculous. That has every right to be a moderate statement. How dare the LGBTQ+ try to make something so uncontroversial a kind of hate speech? It's actually lacking in humanity, and the knowledge we gain from being human and caring for the well-being of others. It's irrational.

And it is going to be such a huge safe-guarding issue with regards to young people at some point very soon.

[Self-censors whilst muttering: 'The irony! The irony!']

Honestly. The Guardian. They actually seem to have no way of covering this story, do they?

thebewilderness · 27/08/2018 01:57

Women in authority can no longer speak without being criticized for being transphobic.

BettyFloop · 27/08/2018 02:23

Just taking a moment to thank Mumsnet for providing us with the space to discuss this in [relative] freedom.

We will be recognised as the shining torchlight on all of this at some point.

Mamaryllis · 27/08/2018 02:23

Fox and Owl. So predictable. Yawn.

PersistAunt · 27/08/2018 03:20

jeez the Guardian excells itself there. "Journalism"???
