I'd like to know how the Green Party squares its manifesto (as per its Wikipedia page) of "Commitment to social justice and environmentalism" and "Actions to "take account of the wellbeing of other nations, other species" by allowing a convicted animal abuser to be an election agent and to have his house used as the GP headquarters for Coventry.

optimusprimesmother · 26/08/2018 17:57

Well Aimee likes to talk don’t they. A lot of that about Aimee was totally unnecessary. And probably bull.

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:57

AC can ... take a hike.

Not responsible for dad's action.

More than likely, in some shape or form, one of his many varied types of victims.

But the chances are David was once somebody's victims too. There is a line, and when you step over it, you trade in victim, for victimiser.

Being somebody's victim doesn't mean you get to "get out jail free card - sanction free - whoops !" knowingly collaborate and co-operate with an officially accused victimiser, to satisfy your (or their) political ambitions and policy preferences.

Amalfimamma · 26/08/2018 17:58

I've read that 4 times now. Aimee spends more time and spathy talking about their trans status that the victims. Wtaf

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 17:58

Something very weird about that guy. Sometimes it's like his mission is to deflect and draw fire, don't you think?

BigChocFrenzy · 26/08/2018 17:58

Green Party HQ = Paedophile HQ + animal torture HQ

TerfsUp · 26/08/2018 17:58

If anyone thinks that Challoner Junior will stop playing an active role in the GP they are seriously deluded.

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:59

think the stuff about her transition is because she desperately doesn't want to link being trans to any sort of psychopathology

AC might be trying to convince self of that every bit as much as trying to convince us.

I've seen DC dressed as a girl in a tiara in their family photos. Before FB clean up.

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 17:59

Was talking about the mcgregor fella

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 26/08/2018 17:59

Ladybirds, yes, either is awful. I keep trying to remind myself that as the child of a parent like this, A.C. will have a wildly off kilter moral compass. It's all the more reason to question the background of children who want to transition rather than celebrating them and posing damaged young people into powerful and responsible roles.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 26/08/2018 18:00

Cesira

Yes. I think so. She's in no fit state.

OrchidInTheSun · 26/08/2018 18:00

Crime was in 2015 - the victim is only 13 now. I like the mention of the poor disabled mother - the woman who has had 5 children taken into care, been convicted of animal abuse and lied to the court about the torture equipment in her husband's paedo attic.

That statement has made me even angrier than I was before. It's been put out by the party as damage limitation after Gilligan's article. AC had no intention of standing down and has not resigned from the party which is what should happen. AFAIK they are not equalities spokesperson any more - that role was removed almost immediately from the GP website after the court case. They have a spokesperson for animals - I wonder if he knows that two prominent members, one of whom stood for office, have suspended sentences for animal cruelty?

Popchyk · 26/08/2018 18:00

From AC's statement:

"I was advised externally to use his legal name in official documents (which I did) and his nickname - the name he is known by in the community - on public materials".

Advised by whom?

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 18:00

Ladybirds, unfortunately for Aimee it comes across to me as "the lady doth protest too much..."

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 18:02

afaik the crime was in 2010, so the 10 year old is now 18, not 13.

I have a sinking feeling.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 26/08/2018 18:02

Cesira

.... oh i just got it. So not when she was in care, contrary to what she says. Jesus Christ, they have got to regret making their life so public.

But then what kind of people do seek publicity in the way this family does?

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 18:05

This statement is aimed at securing a Guardian/BBC sympathy interview with Aimee in a month or so about how terfs leapt on aimee's father's conviction to transphobically smear Aimee and the cause of self ID. I mean, you could set a timer.

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 18:05

I can't find where I read the dates (no dates at all in news reports...). Bloody internet, hiding things from me Angry

LadybirdsAreBirds · 26/08/2018 18:06

Charlie

Yes. I agree

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 18:07

I'll bet woman's Hour or victoria Derbyshire.

LadybirdsAreBirds · 26/08/2018 18:09

Guardian

They only had her in about a couple of months ago

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 18:09

Just to be on the safe side.

Upload to previous link in a few minutes. Can other also do so, so nothing gets lost.

Popchyk · 26/08/2018 18:11

The TRAs will ensure that AC will disappear until after the GRA consultation closes.

Probably transferring the requisite amount of money over to AC right now.

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 26/08/2018 18:12

Care proceedings that I can see here were issued in June 08, children seem to have been fostered in Aug 09, and it was apparently overruled in feb 10.

Abuse was December 2010, iirc.
