To BenjaminSmith:

If you want to save the Green Party from being flushed down the trans toilet, then get to work cleaning it up.

Has this been posted? Powerful.

Follow the money

So did the greens know about the injunction? They must have mustn't they?

I'm not sure I want to discount "incompetent while in full blown headless chicken mode" as the culprit just yet.

That's not me being magnanimous. If you can't organise a small political party, it does not inspire confidence that you can be trusted with running the country/county/village hall raffle, let alone saving the planet.

If they were even minimally organised, albeit with limited funds and resources (just enough man power for say, a quick google in place of a background check), AC would never have been able to get this far without a ruddy great blockage put in their tracks to keep their profile/importance much, much lower.

What Lisa said

xxmarksthespot · 26/08/2018 16:34

That AC tried to get an injunction against a fellow party member should be enough for suspension. But this is how TRAs do politics. No debate, instead it's injunctions against those with the wrong views.

Green Party Adam might want to take a leaf out of Benjamin's book. And stop being such a massive twat.

Amalfi: it should have been on the court sheet so local reporters including BBC would have known. If it wasn't, why not. If it was, why wasn't anyone sent to cover the case.

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 17:01

'didn't know' doesn't wash for the media, unless the case was hidden in some way, in which case why did that happen. If you're a local reporter you check the court diary.

Charliethefeminist · 26/08/2018 17:15

While all this is happening there are transactivists having phone calls and quiet meetings in rooms with powerful people assuring them that this has nothing to do with self ID and safeguarding.

Will the immediate reaction from most trans advocates, including those in the civil service, have been about the damage done to the self ID cause? I think there's a good chance it will have been. And they will be rewriting and drafting new PR to dissociate self ID from issues arising from Challenor, as a PR exercise only.

OlennasWimple · 26/08/2018 17:23

Cesira - sorry to go off topic, but...how do you make golden syrup?!

Ladbrokes only have published odds on who the next GP leader will be, not the Deputy. I'd guess odds would be avaialble on request, just not on their website

OlennasWimple · 26/08/2018 17:24

Question - does Stonewall accept that DC is trans, according to their own definition?

I think being 'on a break' from her GP roles is the least she can do. The least.

I have more to say but I want to think about it

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:31

OlennasWimple

Easier than you'd think. Although DS makes it, not me. Nobody trusts Mrs ADHD Personified around heated sugar.. In case she gets bored mid stir, wandering off to do something more interesting "for a minute" and the fire brigade has to come back again.

Amalfimamma · 26/08/2018 17:32

VICTIMS

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:34

While I piece my own feelings back together, I want to underscore that my thoughts are firmly with the survivors of my father’s abhorrent behavior including young women whose lives will be impacted forever

Plural ?

heresyandwitchcraft · 26/08/2018 17:36

Plural

Sarahconnor1 · 26/08/2018 17:36

So stepping down from the deputy leadership race but no mention of whether they will continue as equalities spokesperson.

It's the latter that concerns me.

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:37

Is one including oneself and one's female relations in the survivor count, but excluding male relations of the same type means that makes no sense.

I

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 26/08/2018 17:38

"my thoughts are firmly with the survivors of my father’s abhorrent behavior including young women whose lives will be impacted forever."

Plural? Unless A.C. means extended connections of victim and family, but you would surely have singled out the victim for special mention / sympathy?

CesiraAndEnrico · 26/08/2018 17:38

WTF is around the corner that we may have on purpose/by accident just been given the heads up on.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 26/08/2018 17:39

Massive cross posting! Great minds...
