Woke guy that did that "terfs are trash" song accused of sex crimes

This message from the other band member appeared on Facebook yesterday:

With heavy thoughts and hurting hearts, our collective has reached a consensus concerning very serious allegations against a highly regarded member of our group.

Geo String/ Vlad Blyat has engaged in a number of abusive actions against those he calls comrade. He has committed sexual assault, physical/verbal abuse, controlling/ manipulative behavior and he refuses to own his actions.

He was offered a path to restorative justice, but he again refused to acknowledge or respond to the allegations of abuse in a meaningful way.

This public outing of Geo/Vlad, as a rapist and serial abuser is the only option we were left with. He must be held accountable by the collective if he wont accept accountability on his own.

The included a line about bricking women in the teeth, and implying stamping on their heads.

Someone's written on their facebook page "So, let me get this straight. A man who advocated violence against women has been found to be perpetrating violence against women, and people are surprised?"

Well, exactly.

The idiots aren't calling the police on him though, as they don't believe in the police (as they're anarchists). Or - the man who broke this news says they won't anyway. I really hope the women he is accused of assaulting feel differently and go to the police.

It's just so predictable.

PyeWackets · 08/08/2018 15:20

What does offered a path to restorative justice even mean? Jeez, they really don't give a shit about women.

TransExclusionaryMRA · 08/08/2018 15:21

When people tell you who they are, believe them!

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 08/08/2018 15:23

Restorative justice is all very well for drug offences, burglary and the likes, but when applied to crimes against women it is invariably a tool of the patriarchy. As long as we have a fundamentally misogynistic society any attempt at "restorative justice" just involves downplaying the seriousness of crimes against women and echoing the standard sexist talking points about how women bring this stuff on themselves and the poor man was probably driven to it.

heresyandwitchcraft · 08/08/2018 15:26

Quelle surprise, indeed.
I desperately hope they've reported him to the police.
Why is it that women keep being told we're just scaremongering?
We have been trained (all our lives) to look out for the warning signs in male behaviour and are continually risk-assessing.
We are pointing out the red flags in parts of this trans activist movement.
We recognize clear features that are misogynistic and controlling.
Why won't people listen?

Bowlofbabelfish · 08/08/2018 15:30

Gosh. Man who advocates violently silencing women with kerb stomping accused of being violent IRL to women.

Colour. Me. Shocked. Who’da thunk it?

I do hope someone reading it believes in calling the police.

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 08/08/2018 15:32

No shit, Sherlock.

Wankers.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 08/08/2018 15:32

Is Vlad Blyat his real name? Blyat is a misogynistic swear word in Russian.

LaSquirrel · 08/08/2018 15:38

Colour me surprised... not

noeffingidea · 08/08/2018 15:42

Isn't that Emma's friend ?(the ex intern who doxed some of the posters on here?) I wonder what she thinks about this.

Popchyk · 08/08/2018 15:47

Is that in the US?

The language sounds similar to the Twitter account that denounced Jess Bradley.

FruitOnAPlatter · 08/08/2018 15:49

What does offered a path to restorative justice even mean? Jeez, they really don't give a shit about women

Yes, exactly - what's the going rate for sexual assault? Bung a couple of hundred to her dad? Volunteer to marry her? Is she handed a cucumber and told to have at it?

Frankly I think that excommunication from their community is the only answer here if they're not prepared to go to the police with the crime. (I note that this policy largely benefits perpetrators - ie. the blokes)

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit · 08/08/2018 16:01

Yes, it's in the US.

FermatsTheorem · 08/08/2018 16:08

What is it with lefty woke blokes and covering up sex crimes? (Didn't the scandal of sexual abuse in the Scottish SWP involve covering up sex crimes and dealing with it all through "internal disciplinary action"?)

But yes, "man who glorifies violence against women goes on to commit violence against women, and this is a surprise because?" just about covers it.

But remember, this never happens, and we have no reason to be worried.

LangCleg · 08/08/2018 16:10

Um... so they were fine about him encouraging the kerb stomping of women who disagree with him politically, but when it's women they know it's all so dreadful?

Yes dears: I'm feeling such empathy with your heavy hearts.

LangCleg · 08/08/2018 16:13

Fermats do you mean the Comrade Delta debacle? It's here:

www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/05/comrades-war-decline-and-fall-socialist-workers-party

This is how restorative justice goes in lefty circles when the menz are accused of crimes against the wimz. As you can guess, it's not well.

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 08/08/2018 16:13

Didn't our very own FarFrom bang on about restorative justice this week?

sexnotgender · 08/08/2018 16:14

Oh gosh I’m ever so surprised Shock

FermatsTheorem · 08/08/2018 16:20

Ah, Lang, that's a very interesting article. But interestingly, not the one I was thinking of.

A quick google has helped me to find the one I was thinking of: it's this www.theguardian.com/society/2013/mar/09/socialist-workers-party-rape-kangaroo-court much more recent one I had in mind.

Now there's a surprise - the rot goes back decades and continues to this day, and women get no justice then or now, in a whole series of separate incidents. And now the rapists have invented a new word to justify not facing justice: "carceral feminism."

Fucking bastards, one and all.

FermatsTheorem · 08/08/2018 16:21

Duh, no, sorry, that's the same one... hang on, I'll see if I can find the case I was thinking of.

drspouse · 08/08/2018 16:23

Timbo
snigger
(Misses the point)

WomblingWoman · 08/08/2018 16:24

It's so wholly predictable isn't it?

Not just the allegations, but the response.

Calling someone out of FB is justice? Err no, it's not.

They're simply all a load of misogynistic, enabling, hate inciting wankers.

NeedChoos · 08/08/2018 16:27

It's shit... but not a surprise. Restorative justice....WTF. That's just weasel speak for jack shit.
