2013 Daily Mail Article:
'The real naked chefs! Crazy web craze sees participants shun meat, dairy products and their clothes
Three Manchester flatmates started NakedVeganCooking.com
The site aims to discuss ethical food and positive body imagery
Enthusiastic fans now send in pictures of them cooking in the nude'

(concludes)
"The site received even more publicity last month when Jess was featured on Channel 4’s ‘My Daughter the Teenage Nudist’, something that Jess [Bradley] described as a ‘scary prospect’ but that they received a very positive response.

Despite their strong ethical message, Jess, who was put off meat after watching Babe, said that they do not want to pressure people, and that Veganism is ‘one option among many different options.’

He said: ‘To be honest I cheat a fair bit. I don’t think the odd bit of cheating is a bad thing.

‘I kind of have this impression that a lot of vegans are obsessed with “purity”; scouring ingredients for small traces of animal products that probably don’t make a massive impact on animal suffering.’

He added: ‘Veganism is not the revolution.’ "

"My Daughter the Teenage Nudist"?

Give me fucking strength.

SophoclesTheFox · 30/07/2018 18:52

Enthusiastic fans now send in pictures of them cooking in the nude

People are so, so gullible.

To be honest I cheat a fair bit. I don’t think the odd bit of cheating is a bad thing

Aha, so as well as being a non binary woman and a shy exhibitionist, Jess is also a meat eating vegan. I've reached peak oxymoron!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 30/07/2018 18:55

I see the word ‘vegan’ is also a shifting constellation...

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 30/07/2018 18:58

I am starting to think that this whole Jess character might be an elaborate gag from The Onion or similar?
Or a Fake Sheik type exercise to show up who the great and the good are willing to take advice from..?!

VickyEadie · 30/07/2018 18:59

I bet Jess is also a teetotaller who likes getting pissed...

ErrolTheDragon · 30/07/2018 18:59

The hazelnut pate recipe sounds quite nice except it doesn't give the quantity of hazelnuts.ConfusedSad

Marking my place. Am using my finger to make my place, not my penis. Wish I had a penis to use at work.

R0wantrees · 30/07/2018 19:29

Meanwhile, in Canada currently a woman is speaking out about the trauma of sharing space with a male person in women's refuge:

Like many women, I use my penis to stir sugar into my coffee but I wasn’t aware it could be used as a place marker!

I’d be interested in any other tips you ladies may have? I feel like I’m not getting the most out of mine.

thebewilderness · 30/07/2018 19:29

You all love to conveniently forget that asking trans women to be in mens spaces instead puts them at extreme risk of violence.

Women are perfectly aware that males are violent toward other males as well as toward females. However, there is no evidence to support the claim that males are more violent in the male toilets than elsewhere.

Demanding that women and girls act as human shields for males who are afraid of other males is inexcusable misogyny.

----

I was wondering when transgender advocates would show up with their version of NAMALT and the 10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.
So predictable and repetitive.

LemonJello · 30/07/2018 19:30

Sorry for crass cross post there Sad

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 19:34

You all love to conveniently forget that asking trans women to be in mens spaces instead puts them at extreme risk of violence.

Why don't they just leave or call the police? That's what you expect women to do when threatened.

placemats · 30/07/2018 19:42

You all love to conveniently forget that asking trans women to be in mens spaces instead puts them at extreme risk of violence.

Then trans women, who seem to have access to the most expensive of lawyers, should campaign for men to have less public spaces.

Not all men will be extremely violent, but of course, trans women can't tell which are the violent ones and which are the good ones.

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

thebewilderness · 30/07/2018 19:42

For the wanker boys and the cross dressers transgenderism is the ultimate male dominance display.

These are the incidents that remind organizations that if they do not check potential employee's and volunteer's references and related history it will burn them, sooner or later. Predators play the odds that if they put on a good enough show no one will check, and they are too often correct.

www.pressgazette.co.uk/sun-and-mail-on-sunday-face-first-gagging-attempt-by-lawyers-citing-sir-cliff-privacy-win-against-bbc

It's primarily discussing the implications of the Cliff Richard judgement versus the Mail deciding to go ahead and publish (and the Sun publishing but with anonymity), rather than Bradley's actions per se. But, it's the case getting further press interest all the same.

Cistersaredoingitforthemselves · 30/07/2018 19:48

Inspired by Walk on the wild side ( but as I am crap at that sort of stuff)

The moment Jess Bradley popped their cock out ....she turned from a she to a he

Women don't flash their schlongs

thebewilderness · 30/07/2018 20:04

How stupid or arrogant do you need to be to have managed the achieve the level of influence Jess had and yet maintain a blog like that which could destroy everything if uncovered?

The risk is part of the incentive as well as the payoff.
It is almost entirely about power.

HotRocker · 30/07/2018 20:04

Put your penis away on public transport, said nobody to a woman ever.

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 30/07/2018 20:07

I'm just musing here, but bear with me ...

Seems to me that either Bradley has made a huge mistake in involving Carter Ruck and attempting the Cliff Richard privacy thing. Because, that has guaranteed that every journalist in the country is now watching the NUS investigation like a hawk.

Or, Bradley had no choice but to at least try the Carter Ruck thing, because there is so much stuff to come out that it was a last ditch attempt at a cover up. And the Daily Mail's reporting so far is just the tip of the iceberg.

(I am not a journalist or a lawyer and those are just me speculating).

missedith01 · 30/07/2018 20:09

Regarding privacy, is a breach of a person's privacy to name them when they've already made a statement confirming they're the person being investigated?

R0wantrees · 30/07/2018 20:11

From the Press Gazette article linked above:
'Sun and Mail on Sunday face first 'gagging' attempt by lawyers citing Sir Cliff privacy win against BBC'

extract
“In a leader column, the Sun said: “Mr Justice Mann set a very dangerous precedent by suggesting those under police investigation should not be named in normal circumstances.

Surprise, surprise! It took a week for us to get a legal letter citing the case to try to prevent publication of a story.”

It added: “The judge’s ruling is a dangerous slide towards press censorship, at the expense of your right to know.

“Of course, the winners are the rich and powerful who can afford top lawyers to stop any scrutiny, regardless of the public interest.

“This terrible judgement must be appealed – and quickly.”

The BBC was last week denied permission to appeal by Mr Justice Mann at the High Court but is now able to take its case to the Court of Appeal, though it has yet to confirm whether it will do so." (continues)

HotRocker · 30/07/2018 20:15

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised. Why would they have said in their statement that they haven’t been involved in any sexual activity without consent? There is more here than we know about I reckon, but how long will this all take to come to court? This could have a direct impact on the GRA consultation, so it’s most definitely in the public interest. Also all the talk of survivors? What survivors, and what did they survive?
