Would it be helpful to have some stats on male vs. female convictions for exposure and voyeurism?
Data gubbins: In the sentencing statistics below, I'm not certain whether offenders have been registered under their birth sex, their legal gender, preferred gender. The stats are also for the principal (i.e. the offenders "worst") offence, so someone convicted of murder and flashing would appear under murder, and not exposure. Data comes from Ministry of Justice here www.gov.uk/government/statistics/criminal-justice-system-statistics-quarterly-december-2016
So, in England and Wales, over the period 2006 to 2016, there were an average of:
2 women sentenced per year for Voyeurism and Exposure
736 men sentenced per year, for Voyeurism and Exposure
In 2016 there were 4 women sentenced for V/E.
In 2016 there were 814 men sentenced for V/E.
Or if you like, men made up 99.71% of all people sentenced for V/E in 2006-16.
just noticed 2017 stats are now out, will have a nosey at numbers
