I've been musing on the TRA/etc response of 'it's not fair to suggest all transwomen are the same...etc' and I've decided that my response is this:

We've been saying all along that there are people who are fetishists and predators who want to get into women's spaces. You've either waved our fears away ("that never happens") or told us to "call the police if it does".

We've told you that the presence of people with penises puts women and girls at risk and your response has usually been either 'no it doesn't' or 'suck it up/suck my lady dick'.

You've told us that transwomen aren't safe in men's spaces, but they can't possibly be told to just "call the police" if they are attacked, etc.

And now - within a couple of weeks of learning that a TW placed in a women's prison assaulted 4 women (which got the response that women in prison's word 'can't be trusted' from a trans Labour women's officer), we get this catalogue of perversion from a trans NUS officer.

You must forgive us for suggesting it looks a lot like allowing self-id will put women at risk.

There were some good questions raised in the previous thread

The extent of Bradley's influence - we already know they've advised the government and delivered NHS training.

I'm intrigued by the suggestion that their interest were known before they were given the job. The chance of it coming to light is a big risk for any organisation to take on.

Unless their skills were worth the risk, or perhaps their behaviour was seen as normal and not a risk.

The last time I was on the other thread we were discussing Bradley's role with regards to The Trans Equality Legal Initiative (TELI) and potential connection to Michelle Brewer, a lawyer who is due to speak at the WEP conference.

I think a few women made mention that, a simple internet search on some of these 'key player' types would be revealing.

But to a degree, it works in our favour, that it breaks as a scandal. It shows that those entrusted to oversee or participate in consultations cannot even be arsed spending ten minutes on google, to see who they are getting 'advice' from.

Yet we (generally) are supposed to trust that these same people have our collective best interests at heart. Ten minutes on google, then you would not have looked like clueless fools. Just sayin'.

You all love to conveniently forget that asking trans women to be in mens spaces instead puts them at extreme risk of violence. But so long as its a trans woman getting beaten up and abused instead of you, you don't care.

The usual response to our fears of being assaulted by TWs or predatory men in women's spaces is 'you can just call the police'. TWs can do the same in the men's spaces, surely?

Anyway - it's not our role to act as human shields for TWs or give fetishists/perverts the space in which to get their rocks off - the latter being entirely the point in this case.

And then John Hopkins completely stopped providing sex reassignment surgery/associated treatments for decades as they decided it was ineffective.

I'm just here speaking the truth for anyone who'll listen. It was trans people who blew the whistle on Jess Bradley, and none of your high-horsing changes that basic fact. If all trans people are a risk, why are there trans people on the side of survivors? why are there trans people calling out people like Jess despite the huge personal cost of opportunists like you using it to tar all trans people?

Nowhere did I suggest women should accept being beaten up! I said there should be solidarity between women against being beaten up instead of throwing easy targets to the wolves to hope it keeps them at bay. It only feeds them!

Why do they mostly result in infertility then?
