I know lots of people don't like clicking on or sharing daily mail links but please do.

The more clicks a story gets the more it will be promoted (ie. higher up the page it is displayed) this increases the chance of this story being picked up elsewhere.

Bowlofbabelfish · 30/07/2018 14:53

"You all love to conveniently forget that asking trans women to be in mens spaces instead puts them at extreme risk of violence."

So Male violence is the issue? Well gosh, we’ve been saying that for a while now.

Right and so allowing all those men into the ladies does what exactly? It exposes everyone to harm. Is that OK?

If you think that you’re simply less likely to encounter a violent Male in what used to be the ladies, then you’re using women and children as human shields. I personally don’t think that’s ok. Do you?

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 14:55

One is not born a goat-eating underbridge-dweller who spends their time shouting at women on the internet, but becomes one through a series of increasingly questionable choices.

BettyDuMonde · 30/07/2018 14:55

I watched it.

Looking forward to Bradley’s legal defence re: not really posting dickpix online, because that’s her vagina - it just looks like a penis.

Bowlofbabelfish · 30/07/2018 14:55

Men are violent, trans women aren't men.

Research shows that after transition, rates and patterns of offending stay the same as they were.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 30/07/2018 14:56

I agree, genderskeptic has nothing useful to add and seems rather desperate to deflect attention away from Bradley.

The fact remains that Bradley should never have been in a position to advise organisations on matters which affected safeguarding for women and children. Those organisations should be taking a step back now and asking serious questions.

I really hope that there is some proper investigative journalism which starts to connect all the murky strands discussed here.

Gileswithachainsaw · 30/07/2018 14:56

If transwomen arebt men then why are they trans and not women? What are they transing from and too?

Floisme · 30/07/2018 14:56

Right so Bradley has stated they were instrumental in setting up TELI.

And there is another TELI founder who I understand is involved with WEP and due to speak at their conference - is that correct?

Because just the idea of a connection there is making my hair stand on end.

NynaeveSedai · 30/07/2018 14:56

Please provide collated evidence of transwomen being physically and sexually assaulted in men's spaces
I see this being referred to but yet I don't remember ever seeing any evidence that it happens in a statistically significant number.

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 14:56

The last 10 seconds is rather pertinent! I can type it if needs be, but better watched I think.

Agree! Bradley seems quite reconciled to the current vagina. Judging by the blog.

Yes I think it's Michelle Brewer.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 14:57

Thing is, women don't generally do it so it doesn't come up much, but posting random photos of your fanjo online and encouraging others to get theirs out at their desks at work too wouldn't exactly fit into most employers idea of ideal employee conduct either.

BertrandRussell · 30/07/2018 14:58

"My vagina looks like a penis"

It's a shame she finished with that, because the rest of the monologue is actually rather good.

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 14:58

This. Come on brave journos.

Bowlofbabelfish · 30/07/2018 14:59

I hope there is going to be a collective realisation that absolutely ZERO due diligence has been done by several institutions. Followed by some back pedalling and listening to women’s groups..

... if it’s business as usual, then something is very wrong indeed.

And YY to journalism to connect the dots

genderskeptic · 30/07/2018 14:59

Literally all my posts have been about centering the conversation on Jess Bradley instead of deflecting her actions onto other trans people. You're the ones trying to take attention away from the perpetrator.

BertrandRussell · 30/07/2018 14:59

Incidentally, is due diligence a thing of the past?

BertrandRussell · 30/07/2018 15:00

Genderskeptic-what do you think should happen to Jess Bradley now? And do you think there are many other people like her?

Gileswithachainsaw · 30/07/2018 15:00

So how do you propose to keep the jess Bradley's out of the toilets gender ?

Bowlofbabelfish · 30/07/2018 15:01

Alleged perp, genderskeptic - Carter Ruck have an excellent reputation in this field Wink

FermatsTheorem · 30/07/2018 15:01

Just signing in to follow the new thread.

So, the salient point (just to recap in the face of the derailer who is, IMO, best ignored): JB is campaigning for self ID and anyone who IDs as a woman to be allowed into women's spaces. Many women have pointed out that self ID with no gatekeeping opens women's spaces not just to genuinely dysphoric transsexuals, but to any male bodied person who fancies spending a few moments self ID-ing. One of the worries is that this wider group of male bodied persons may include people who get off on flashing.

Lo and behold, it turns out that JB (who is making a career out of trans politics, and has the ear of people in government, to the extent that JB got to make a submission to Maria Millar's parliamentary enquiry) has a tumblr page which seems to indicate that JB's own interests may involve getting off on flashing (whether JB has actually engaged in flashing in public is not proven one way or the other, to the best of my knowledge, but it seems that JB has allegedely been quite happy to plaster tumblr with images of what is, allegedly, JB's erect lady-penis.)

On this story breaking in the Daily Mail, JB (salary 24K) has somehow managed to engage Carter Ruck with the aim of shutting the story down.

And this is the sort of person we're supposed to not worry about sharing spaces with.

Ereshkigal · 30/07/2018 15:01

Incidentally, is due diligence a thing of the past?

Along with risk assessment and safeguarding it would seem so.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/07/2018 15:02

So Jess Bradley is Yoruba then? And also possibly identifies as the Geneva Conventions.

(I know I shouldn't feed them, everyone, will stop now.)

Tanith · 30/07/2018 15:02

The trouble is, it’s not just Jess Bradley, is it?
The Trans account whistleblower acknowledged there are other perverts clinging to the trans mast. And they are quite right: it is vital to expose the perverts so that we can make safety a priority for all women and transwomen because, absolutely, these people should not be in any advisory role.
