At about 40mins into their reporting of the action, before they go up to interview them, they clock and refer to 'the transgender people who are objecting to the protest'.

So a) it's OK just for Pink News people to decide the identity of others is before checking in with them? Everyone else needs to shut up and put up, as it would be transphobic to highlight someone's trans status?!

b) how did they know they were transgender? (Hint: we can all see too!)

I was surprised at how corporate the whole Pride thing has become. Have never been to one but assumed it was an anyone can come march. Sounds like they've done the same thing to Pride that they did to Edinburgh's Hogmanay where it's now the only city centre you need a ticket for then. Looking at the pics of the event looks like very few lesbians with men in elaborate dresses well over represented. If Pink news hadn't mentioned it the women would have got no publicity.
It does sound as thought the LGBT + alphabet soup is turning in to a Y chromosome only pressure group.

Not at all - you have to book your parade slot. It's a once a year event which all LGBT people forward to as a safe and celebratory space.

Imagine if it was a women's march and a group of men turned up at the front and started distributing flyers saying women were witches and should be burnt at the stake.

That is effectively what these protesters have done.

It’s almost like this has happened several times this year but rather than peaceful protest it has featured violence, intimidation and threats.

Ok question:

If a natal woman decides to ID as a man, but keep body and presentaion i.e. still wear dresses, no surgery, not bind breasts etc does her boyfriend then become gay? well yes, must be if trans women are lesbians, must work both ways. So now her boyfriend has the protected characteristic of sexual orientation.

Are gay men then transphobic if they are not open to male vagina? male breasts?

Can her boyfriend now become LBGT advisor to say Labour Party? and access services, funding put aside for that protected characteristic ?
