I’m beyond angry they had to do this. I feel like I’m being incredibly naive and incredibly stupid, and perhaps missing something in the process, but we need to stop sitting around and shouting into the echo chamber. This is very real and serious. We need to do something high impact that will make massive waves. We need to do it together.
It seems to me that so many people and groups just want to get and keep kudos for themselves when we need to be looking at the bigger picture. Everyone who has managed to create a following and a name for themselves in thus fight should be willing to get together, no matter their differences, and come together on this bloody urgent, bloody important cause.
And I’m feeling a bit hopeless because I’m starting to think this isn’t where priorities lie.
I’m putting it out here now: LAWS is willing to get together with any/all other women and groups in this and work towards the bigger picture. Any others?
