Chicken do you think lesbians are transphobic for saying they don't want to have sex that involves a penis?

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 20:48

Its not like its magically change its also the psychological change they have. They feel they were born in wrong body they go though process to change, they change.

ErrmWTAF · 07/07/2018 20:49

DSTBX just said: "they're denigrating and co-opting the very gender they're TRYING TO BE?!? "

Errm, yes. Brilliant. I'm still going to divorce you, but that's good thinking on a macro level, at least...

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 20:49

Of course not titchy

littlbrowndog · 07/07/2018 20:50

There we go chicken

littlbrowndog · 07/07/2018 20:51

Wish the de railers was a least a bit funny insteada just dull tbh

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 07/07/2018 20:52

Chicken, I don't think you know as much about this issue as you think you do.

But do you really think a vagina, uterus, cervix, clitoris etc can be created by surgery? Do you really think lesbian women should be made to feel hateful for not wanting sex with a male with a prostate and something which may externally resemble female genitalia somewhat, but does not behave like female genitalia? Like some kind of activist pantomime? Or can we just shag women we fancy, because... human rights?

UglyCathKidstonBag · 07/07/2018 20:52

Its not like its magically change its also the psychological change they have. They feel they were born in wrong body they go though process to change, they change.

Can you explain to me how they change?

Also are you particularly religious? The idea that one is born in “the wrong body” suggests the reliance upon the notion of a soul or similar.

MipMipMip · 07/07/2018 20:53

Blythe you and the ladies with you are amazing. I hope you're all enjoying a delicious beverage of your choice. WineBrewGin🍺

I'm sorry, but not surprised, that today was hard for you. You lay down rose to the challenge magnificently. Isn't it nice to think that if the organisers had just looked at your banners and said "fine" and shoved you in the middle somewhere your protest would be largely unnoticed. Instead they tried to control women and your brave (and given the assaults, intimidation, calls to employers, doxxong, claiming hate speech to police etc I reconsider it brave) actions led to loads more publicity. Congratulations. Smile

Having declared women's rights to be anti-trans it probably should not have shocked anyone paying attention to hear TRAs now declaring Lesbians to be anti-trans.
Both sex and sexual orientation are protected characteristics under the Equality Act of 2010 so we are left to conclude that these TRAs are declaring themselves to be homophobic and misogynists advocating illegal discrimination.

thebewilderness · 07/07/2018 20:58

FYI, humans are incapable of either transubstantiation or transmogrification. Just thought you ought to know.

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 21:00

Im not claiming i know lots about this, i came here for clarity and what u guys r saying and what twitter (people supportive and attending) are saying is very different. I am very not religious. I have said numerous times lesbians shouldn't do anything they dont want.

Datun · 07/07/2018 21:01

chicken

You're sort of half right. You agree, presumably, that a transwoman with a penis can be rejected by lesbians, and should be, because lesbianism rejects penises?

It may interest you to know that 85% of transwomen retain their penis.

On that basis alone, you can, presumably, completely understand where lesbians are coming from. They do not do 'lady dicks', or 'female penises', as they are being coerced to. Neither are penises just 'big clitorises'. And they are not 'just like a strap on', either.

Where you and us might differ, is that even if someone is post op, it doesn't make them a woman.

Women smell, feel, look and act completely differently to men. Every part of their physiology is totally different.

Lesbians like women. Not men whose penis has been operated on. It's that simple.

Men, identifying as women, who try and coerce lesbians into sex, by guilt tripping them with accusations of transphobia, are supporting rape culture.

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 21:01

Isnt life about discussing things in life and people agree and others disagree and learning new information or would u prefer everyone agreeing on every thread.

ErrolTheDragon · 07/07/2018 21:01

If I was a lesbian, I think I'd start an AIBU thread 'AIBU to think that the definition of 'lesbian' is ' a female homosexual'? and see if most people replied, uh, yes, are you on glue to need to ask?

Some dictionaries say ' homosexual woman' but of course also define woman as 'adult human female' so that's clear. I like the Merriman-Webster pedantry:
'Definition of lesbian
1 often capitalized : of or relating to Lesbos
2 [from the reputed homosexual band associated with Sappho of Lesbos] :of or relating to homosexuality between females'

I suppose words can change their meanings. Today it would seem the word 'Pride' has been redefined to 'Shame'.Sad Shame on the misogynistic homophobia attacking lesbians.

titchy · 07/07/2018 21:03

Of course not titchy

Then why on earth are you arguing against the Pride protesters when that's exactly what they were saying? Have you been in the sun too long chicken?

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 07/07/2018 21:03

Chicken, I wasn't meaning to insult you by suggesting you maybe didn't have the full picture on this. From what you said, you seemed to have the impression that transwomen have genitalia identical to that of a woman. That is not true. There's nothing wrong with not knowing things.

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 21:04

I believe a transperson who feels in wrong body has right to feel that right body they want and nobody has right to say its not ok. By saying they r not a women u r denying them that right, my belief.

Datun · 07/07/2018 21:06

Oh and chicken framing women who are lesbians as anti-trans is an entirely deliberate manipulation of language.

Do not fall for it.

Of the two papers that have covered this, one calls them anti-trans, the other calls them lesbians. Go figure. Apparently, it's interchangeable.

This has got nothing to do with feelings about trans people. And everything to do with maintaining the boundaries that lesbians have fought for.

titchy · 07/07/2018 21:07

By saying they r not a women u r denying them that right, my belief.

No ones denying them anything - except the right to have sex with lesbians.

UglyCathKidstonBag · 07/07/2018 21:08

Chicken you’re showing that you aren’t comprehending anything that is being said on this thread.

I won’t be replying further to you because I can now see this is a deliberate tactic.

chicken2015 · 07/07/2018 21:09

I am aware a surgeon is not able to recreate a perfect same vagina. And then they r magically a women. I said its a process

Datun · 07/07/2018 21:09

I believe a transperson who feels in wrong body has right to feel that right body they want and nobody has right to say its not ok. By saying they r not a women u r denying them that right, my belief.

Does your belief that they are women extend to the belief that lesbians can't sexually discrimate against every single one?

Mogleflop · 07/07/2018 21:10

So chickens let's say I'm a man (as in, born male, have a male body, penis and balls and all), but I state I'm a woman and want to have sex with a lesbian.

Should I be allowed to be angry and hurt if she and other lesbians say no, and say I'm not a woman the way they are?

Should I be allowed to say they're clearly trans exclusionary radical feminist and should be banned from lesbian groups?

Do my rights and desires override theirs?

Datun · 07/07/2018 21:11

Chicken

Come on, nail your colours.

Does your belief that they are women extend to the belief that lesbians can't sexually discrimate against every single one?
