Given the aggressive and abusive response from transwomen on the PN FB feed to the protesters, its not transwomen who have cause to feel unsafe. It would clearly have got much more physical & aggressive if the police weren't there, and that aggression was going in one direction only.

The young lesbian who made the Transgenderism thread was the final straw for me. Young lesbians need to see us speaking and acting out. We did that today, like the women in San Francisco and the women in NZ.
As some have said here, us lesbians have been been baring the brunt of transphobia and misogyny for years now.

Today at Pride, we wanted to show that lesbians are not going to be erased. We didn't really think we'd get a look in, but, though we were very nervous and a bit scared, we tried.
