Serious answers only please.
*With acknowledgement to Bowl, who has raised this so often. Apologies if this is repeating a thread from the past (?): in any case, maybe it's time for another thread with this title.

Please, no wordy arguments about how sex can be changed by legal instrument around the world, just answer the question posed.

No, you definitely can't.

Trialsmum · 15/06/2018 21:22

No it’s biologically impossible.

Sarahconnor1 · 15/06/2018 21:23

No.

Noqont · 15/06/2018 21:29

No. Physically people can alter their appearance to look like the opposite sex, but it could never actually make them the opposite sex. If their remains were found thousands of years later they would be identified as the sex that they were born as. You simply can't change your sex. How you decide to express yourself in terms of gender is different.

Non - nein - no. Humans can become a simulacrum by utilising various degrees of cosmetic or medical intervention and a legal amendment. But biologically change sex. Sorry, not possible.

howfardoestherabbitholego · 15/06/2018 21:36

It's so fucking obvious but we must LIE regardless. Fall into line like good little girls Angry

daimbars · 15/06/2018 21:37

Can a person change gender? Yes.

Gileswithachainsaw · 15/06/2018 21:41

Nope. If we could then we wouldn't have such a problem with fgm rape chikd marriage and the sex trafficking cos they'd all just change and get out of it

If we are talking about someone's sex and only their sex, then no, they can't change their reproductive systems they were born with.
They can of course change the appearance of their genitalia physically.

But they absolutely can decide their gender. And those whose biological sex and gender do not align and have the courage to live their lives as they feel comfortable are admirable in my opinion.

starzig · 15/06/2018 21:42

UpstartCrow · 15/06/2018 21:49

starzig Animals that can change sex acquire the fertility of their new sex. Thats what sex change means in nature.

Humans cannot change their biological sex. A sex change is a legal fiction, possibly supported by cosmetic surgery. It doesnt change your biological sex, as you wont gain the fertility of your acquired legal gender.
