I have seen this happen elsewhere where there is a subsection for feminists amongst a more generalised board.

The feminists are held to a higher standard yet subject to goading. Eventually the feminists lose their temper and kick off. The mods come down hard on the feminists and pander to the goaders. Majority of Feminists piss off elsewhere, the "let's be nice to everyone" feminists remain with the goaders. The feminist section becomes a shell and 12 months later it's only the goaders who then point out how crap feminism is.

Normally I'd say go for it. But we know that this is read by lurkers. It's read by the media.

I would just like to speak on behalf of the lurkers. I've been skulking round here quietly for months and have had my eyes opened by so many eloquent and intelligent women. I've been given the words to go out and have these discussions with family and friends in real life and I could not have done that without you all behind me. Please, stay for the lurkers!

The more I learn, the more I speak, and the more I speak, the more others learn from me. Another lurker here. I don't join in because so many women more eloquent than myself have already said all I wanted to say.
It would be a real shame to lose what we've got here. Maybe we need a mass de-lurk just to show how many of us there are that are listening and spreading the word in real life.

I am unsure of what I can do.
I have been silenced, demonized, lied about, and given a strike.
If I am very good and polite to the verbal abusers who come here every day to harass women the mods will let me stay, or so they say.
I find this to be incredibly hurtful. Kinda surprised by that as this is not the first Feminist forum I have seen deeply damaged or destroyed.
