I hope uterati comes back. I have seen all the great women today plus lots of new ones.

I'm not going anywhere, and I'll stick to the guidelines, I'm good at passing exams - give the examiners what they are looking for and all that Wink

I totally understand people not wanting to use the terms transman and transwoman, but I am, as I've said before, happy to use those terms as they allow me to communicate and, for me, have the same kind of status as a word like seahorse.

I hope as many of our articulate and feisty rad fems as possible find ways to talk about these issues on here while retaining their integrity. Your voices are needed.

I won't be doing any personal attacks but it will be a cold day in hell before I call any man by a term that has woman in it. And I won't sneak off like a thief in the night. MNHQ will have to ban me.

This. I will not refer to anyone who chooses to appropriate the opposite sex by the stolen name. I am banned from using my own choice of names so I will find another but you can bet your boots I will not refer to men as women or women as men. I will not do it.

I am a grown woman and I will not tolerate having my language policed when the terms I choose to use are not illegal.

I will post here sometimes and elsewhere most of the time.

When I read the new guidelines my first reaction was to dereg, but I think I'll enjoy being banned from a parenting site by mentioning someone sex instead.

crunchymint · 17/06/2018 17:49

Words matter, they shape how we see the world. Most people in power understand this. Which is why I think we should never use words that deny reality.

OrchidInTheSun · 17/06/2018 17:58

I was going to leave but they can carry me out of here in a box I've decided. I've namechanged, I don't talk about my family any more but I will carry on pointing out how a load of misogynists are trying to terrorise women and women's organisations into compliance.

Courage calls to courage everywhere

I'm a long time lurker adding my name and support to you all. We need this space and this discussion. I'm not going anywhere, and I hope you don't either.

spontaneousgiventime · 17/06/2018 20:07

@theuterati Is someone I admire. Come back now! Flowers

AntiqueOlive · 19/06/2018 23:10

Everyone still here?

SpareRibFem · 19/06/2018 23:40

thebewilderness I and many others have learnt from you and hope you will stay, but understand the frustration. I've realised I'll find it easier to stay within the guidelines because many years of working with men have socialised me into not saying anything they would object to and that realisation has horrified me Shock

Your rules of misogyny are invaluable

Shameless place mark after the football thread...

I mainly lurk and have gained a lot from this board, please don't leave unless you are forced too.

I have on occasion wondered if we're losing, but I don't think so, MN is being targeted because they're giving a platform to women to discuss and refine strands of thought about the trans ideology and we'll all come to our own decision as to where our own personal line is.

Man Friday arose in part because of info gained here with support initially coming from this site. Agnes Baden Powell has gained support from MN. I first heard about Venice Allen here, Fair play for Women, Transgender Trend and 4th wave etc. Those few women who brought the trans ideology to the FWR boards initially, may no longer be here, but they've left women aware of the threat to womanhood.

The intention was for changes to the GRA to be implemented under the radar as they were in 2004. MN and/or individual posters are being attacked here and on twitter because you're drawing attention to issues of safeguarding and the erosion of Sex as a protected characteristic and the inconsistencies within the trans narrative.

We're being attacked because TRAs are threatened. Some politicians are now listening and the public are becoming more aware. We've still got a way to go, but don't stop posting.

BingTheButterflySlayer · 20/06/2018 06:56

I haven't been claimed by the MN purge - just quiet as my pc died and everything is so much more annoying to do on tablet/phone
