Basically Harvey was asked to leave the book fair event on Sunday after handing out leaflets on women's rights. They told her she could instead distribute the leaflets outside the hall, which she did for a short while. During that time she was verbally-harassed by a group of people. After which, she was asked to leave!

You could not make this shit up!

You would not expect anything else at Goldsmiths university.

This is disgusting. More and more I keep thinking of Mussolini's squadristas and the Futurists.

I remember a post from someone who worked with some very deprived groups in the local community. Their work had been totally hijacked by some "woke" Goldsmiths students, whose only concerns were Trans politics, and patronising the people they were supposed to be helping. The project was being ruined, but they didn't care.

There were also the Oxford protestors who were told that they were upsetting a sexual violence survivor group at the same time and asked to stop. They didn't care either and told the venue (a Quaker building) so.

Oh heck. Some people are so scared their veiwpoint will not stand up to scrutiny that they attempt to surpress it by intimidation.

It may be worth sending a copy to Claire Fox ( R4 Moral Maze, Academy of Ideas ) she has challenged the NUS with regards the wider isssues of denying free speech on university campus.
Discussed with Julia H-B specifically in relation to feminists and Linda Bellos.

The comment about how it was dismissed by an NUS spokesperson as 'not happening and tabloid-fodder' seems relevent.

The woman who spoke out against Goldsmiths students taking over her project is I think @debbieloveslife on Twitter and her project is the Deptford People's Project. If anyone is referring this to journalists then definitely worth linking them to her as well.
