Magdalen's straight (!)-talking youtube films were what helped me really understand the issue last year (and develop a small crush on Magdalen!) .
She is awesome, and I am eternally both grateful for her speaking out at her own risk to bring some of us to the awareness that we didn't have before, and also ashamed that I do not publically speak out with her right now as shamefully I need to keep my job in an environment that, if I did speak out, may result in me targeted by trans-right activists. The place where I work does not need this type of focus from abusive men. And I also need to keep working as a single mum.
But I feel ashamed that this is stopping me from speaking out with Magdalen.
I do what I can in real life, and all of us can in different ways. Magdalen - if you're reading this, someone asked me who my heroes are recently. I don't have many, but you are one of them.
This is a massive issue of our day for women and girls, and all children whatever sex.
You are amazing.
