Dr Adrian Harrop - Dr Misogyny is pursuing another woman.

Dr Adrian Harrop now has Dawn Furness in his metaphorical gun sights. He has sent a series of Tweets to The Green Party to point them to the fact she is appearing at a Woman's Place meeting soon and that she must state her position on trans rights. This is a deliberate attempt to capitalise on his success in getting Olivia Palmer suspended.

It is an act dripping in pure hatred of women.

I am appalled that this happened to you DJLippy.

As for the claim that MN radicalises women, frankly, I think that's a good thing. Women need to be angry, we well and truly deserve our rage.

But sadly for this bit fantasy, I was radicalised many, many years ago, as I know, many women here were. Life does that to women.

Oscarino · 31/07/2018 04:52

The idea that women who won’t shut up and obey orders have been ‘radicalised’ is straight out, old fashioned male chauvinist piggery.

He thinks he’s so cutting edge and woke but he’s spewing the same garbage that his grandfather and great grandfather spouted back in the bad old days. The only difference is they had the courage of their convictions and didn’t try to veil their misogyny in a cloak of ‘fighting for the rights of the oppressed’.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 31/07/2018 05:32

I thought Doctors took an oath to do no harm- there's a glaring incongruent between his behaviour and words on Twitter - harassing and stalking women - and that expected under his oath

annandale · 31/07/2018 05:49

Doctors don't take an oath. An oath to whom?

They do have professional standards of behaviour which they are required to meet as a condition of registration.

Pratchet · 31/07/2018 06:20

You don't have to swear an oath to someone, you can just swear an oath. Why are you saying that as if it's a ridiculous idea? Some kind of oath has often been part of medical school graduation or commencement ceremonies through the centuries and round the world.

annandale · 31/07/2018 06:32

You're right Pratchet i was being rude and chippy. And factually wrong. Sorry.

Pratchet · 31/07/2018 06:37

That's ok we are up too early, that's the problem here

annandale · 31/07/2018 06:44

Amen Brew

thebewilderness · 31/07/2018 07:00

They used to swear the Hippocratic oath to do no harm but then they did so much harm they decided to stop promising not to.

WhatTheWatersShowedMe · 31/07/2018 08:26

What a fucking bore he is.

SunsetBeetch · 31/07/2018 08:39

He is truly vile. (The Faye he is talking to is a trans women, of course, who has been part of the campaign trying to get companies to pull their ads from Mumsnet.)

I wonder if he ever looks at himself and wonders what happened in his life to turn him into a kind of beast? He has one evil soul.

Lovelybitofterf · 31/07/2018 08:51

He’s now bullying another woman and telling her how stupid she is. Smug patronising tw*t doesn’t begin to cover it. Angry

NameChangedAgain18 · 31/07/2018 08:55

Christ, he never stops does he? Is that literally all he does all day, bully and doxx women on Twitter? He can’t possibly be working. You have to wonder where his income is coming from, and who is funding him.

ToeToToe · 31/07/2018 08:56

They used to swear the Hippocratic oath to do no harm but then they did so much harm they decided to stop promising not to.

I lived with a few Medics at university. Remember them talking about the Hippocratic oath - and discussing the "first do no harm" thing.

Perhaps doctors should swear to do no harm on social media.

Dr Harrop has caused women to fear for their jobs/women to feel unsafe - he caused the suspension of Olivia - just because he disagrees with them. He has caused harm. He doesn't think he does, he thinks he is some kind of superhero fighting for the oppressed - but hahahaha. He just uses it as an excuse for him - a white MC male - to hate women who won't do as they're told.

I certainly can't imagine any of the medics I lived with behaving as he does - he thinks being a doctor gives him some kind of godlike authority. They certainly wouldn't have had as much time to pontificate on Twitter as he seems to.

TheCountryGirl · 31/07/2018 08:57

Let's hope he isn't working. This thug shouldn't be allowed near women and girls.

LangCleg · 31/07/2018 09:00

The idea that women who won’t shut up and obey orders have been ‘radicalised’ is straight out, old fashioned male chauvinist piggery.

It most certainly is.

hackmum · 31/07/2018 09:00

Lovelybitofterf: "He’s obviously trying to build himself a media career. "

Yes. He has two LinkedIn profiles - one ordinary one in which he describes himself as a trainee GP, and another one for his limited company. How many trainee doctors have limited companies?

He's at the beginning of his career, trying to establish himself. Most sensible people wouldn't regard this as a wise time in which to be harassing people in a public forum, insulting them, calling women "bitches" etc. So as well as not being a very nice person, he also seems to be strikingly lacking in common sense. Just the qualities you'd want in a doctor, eh.

2rebecca · 31/07/2018 09:09

There was a survey about oaths at med schools a few years ago. Some med schools have modified Hippocratic oaths, some do their own oath, many including mine had no oath. Complying with the GMC's Duties of a Doctor (or similarly named publication) should be enough. The GMC stuff mainly covers doctors' behaviour at work though. Out with work doctors are expected to have a certain standard of behaviour but aren't expected to be saints. He is pushing the boundaries though.

OunceOfFlounce · 31/07/2018 09:35

V late to this but just wanted to add my support to DJLippy in the face of such disgusting, arrogant, mysoginistic attempts to bully and intimidate her. Flowers Flowers Flowers

Nuffaluff · 31/07/2018 09:57

For a trainee doctor, he’s remarkably dim.
Who on earth would employ him after viewing his Twitter? Employers always look at a potential employee’s social media.
They couldn’t be so desperate for doctors that they’d employ someone like him. His misogyny would make itself evident in his practice.

SunsetBeetch · 31/07/2018 09:57

These people are nuts. Now they're trying to claim DARVO.

I have filed an official complaint about him to the GMC citing his harassment of women. He is listed at A and E in Scarborough god help them. I suggest lots of us do this so that action is taken.

hackmum · 31/07/2018 11:10

Is someone able to post all the relevant screenshots? Obviously if he's deleting stuff, anyone making a complaint will need to provide evidence.
