Dr Adrian Harrop now has Dawn Furness in his metaphorical gun sights. He has sent a series of Tweets to The Green Party to point them to the fact she is appearing at a Woman's Place meeting soon and that she must state her position on trans rights. This is a deliberate attempt to capitalise on his success in getting Olivia Palmer suspended.

It is an act dripping in pure hatred of women.

GPs are self-employed rather than NHS employees and often set up limited companies. Here's an article discussing the pros and cons for locums such as Harrop the Charmer:

I think he just enjoys bullying. If he could bully men he would. But droning on at women under pretext of debate, and abusing us to claim "ally" cookies means he immediately gets support from other males who resent women. He is a tedious, inconsequential man trying very hard to be significant.

exexpat · 14/05/2018 12:44

I am also blocked by him on twitter, presumably because I liked a tweet which was critical of him; I am not on any of the terfblocker lists as far as I know (I can still have the pleasure of viewing Lily Madigan or Munroe Bergdorf's tweets, for example). Is he spending hours on twitter blocking us all individually?

R0wantrees · 14/05/2018 12:46

to claim "ally" cookies

This was discussed on a recent thread:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3228481-Cis-allies-being-asked-to-provide-protection

The OP asked,
"Can we talk about something that seems to be happening a lot at the moment: "cis allies" (note the " " ) are being asked to, in essence, prove their ally credentials but also take the risk and do the hard work apparently in order to protect transwomen (in particular) and transmen from attacks by terfs."

This was retweeted by the wonderful Gia Milosovich. (Apology if mispelt)

This message wasn’t sent to her but another woman
Scary bastard.

NonSuchFun · 14/05/2018 13:11

I don’t understand that message SimonBridges - was he texting the person or on WhatsApp or something? How did he have the contact details? But yet another learn your lesson.
Dr C is at now too.

DaisyTwirl · 14/05/2018 13:12

Those messages he's sent are creepy as fuck.
The man's a bullying shitbag - funnily enough, he's too wussy to pick on men.
Quelle surprise 🙄

Some people choose not to use the 'terf blockers', there are a few (I believe too so different lists). What can happen though is that those who don't use them can copy & paste / retweet messages to those who do. Many people's 'news streams' which will have 'nut-picked' proof of 'transphobia' for example and this is more likely to go unchallenged when so many are blocked who might challenge the narrative or provide context etc.

MonsoonMama · 14/05/2018 13:55

He's tweeted about his porn habits now. How professional. (Apologies if you're having your lunch 🤮)

ToeToToe · 14/05/2018 14:24

I'm so glad he's enlightened us about his fucking porn habits.

He is making my skin crawl - this is targeted stalking and harassment of women.

Tracy King:
"Okay, going to do a niche thread and hope the right people see it. I just blocked a doctor who has followed me for a long time because his public harassment of women has turned into privately attacking them via DM. So, this is for medical Twitter:
Women’s trust in medicine right now is very low, following the Ian Paterson case (which as you know I am highly qualified to comment on), the vaginal mesh controversy, and other issues. If you are a doctor with a public platform
hen I am begging you, PLEASE disengage from publicly piling on women whose views you disagree with. What I’m observing has gone way beyond just a tweet or two and now looks like a crusade. Please, stop it. It’s VERY upsetting to the casual observer like me who already has issues with arrogant male medicine. If you’re going to tweet as doctors then you have a public duty of trust to uphold. This bunfight is ugly and more importantly, is eroding trust. End of thread."

ToeToToe · 14/05/2018 14:44

'Arrogant male medicine' is right. Some male doctors have basically never dispensed with the Victorian notion of uteruses making women hysterical, have they?

Labtest7 · 14/05/2018 14:55

Has anyone looked at his Instagram? He has a photograph he has taken of Jonbenet Ramsay's grave on there!! He's sick.

LangCleg · 14/05/2018 15:49

JFC. This bloke is displaying every single red flag going.

If he turned up as a GP at my surgery, I wouldn't just refuse to see him - I'd change surgeries on the basis even employing him made the rest of the practice suspect.

Ewww. Every time I think he's crossed a line I read something else that makes me feel like I need a shower for even knowing he exists.

What a creeptastic man he is.

Ereshkigal · 14/05/2018 15:50

If he turned up as a GP at my surgery, I wouldn't just refuse to see him - I'd change surgeries on the basis even employing him made the rest of the practice suspect.

Me too.

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 14/05/2018 16:27

This man gives me the creeps, he just gets worse and worse. The jonbenet Ramsey grave and tweeting about his porn habits? It's just really weird, vile stuff.

Whats scary is theres a man out there who quite clearly hates women, is publicly tweeting his misogynistic opinions and belittling women over and over again, tweets about his porn habits and there's 0 repercussions? He's a doctor and there's nothing! He's in a position of trust and is allowed access to vulnerable women every day. He doesnt even see anything wrong with these tweets! There's no way any woman would feel safe at a practice he works at, and quite frankly they aren't, I wouldn't trust him to give unbiased, proper care to women.

TheDishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 14/05/2018 16:30

He has so much power as a Dr over so many women and yet hates them so much?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 14/05/2018 16:36

The idea of encountering him when I am vulnerable makes me shudder. He shouldn't be treating women, ever.

NonSuchFun · 14/05/2018 17:26

What to make of Dr A? He first appeared in January on the news outside his hospital telling all about the appalling conditions in A&E. Much as I welcomed the news story I did wonder...you can’t just stand outside your hospital spilling the beans to anyone who will listen. Trusts don’t like that. Even as a locum, I’m not quite sure how it works but they get some sort of temporary contract meaning they must abide by trust rules. In his article in Pulse he said Consultants were encouraging him because he was a locum and had freedom they didn’t have. The NHS has something of a record for treating whistleblowers badly. Perhaps the Consultants just wanted rid of him? I doubt if he’ll be working for there again any time soon.

Someone on twitter said he was now working as a PIP assessor - fitting in nicely with his politics - not - though I’ve heard it’s quite lucrative. Perhaps he is gathering evidence for another round of whistleblowing. And another black mark on his employment record.

Since then he has popped up on my twitter feed and over the last few days seems to have gone into a meltdown of misogyny and bullying. I can’t think of a single professional person who displays such reckless abandonment on social media, completely unaware of the terrible image they are projecting and not even caring. Today we have learnt about his preferences for porn and that he has a photo of the grave of a murdered child on his Instagram. At this rate even his friend Dr C will wash his hands of him, after all Dr C is all about himself, he doesn’t want a lame dog hanging on his coat tails.

Maybe he already has lucrative work with the Labour Party. Maybe he has won the lottery and has no need to care. Perhaps he is on drugs. I just can’t see him getting another job in the NHS any time soon. Thank God.

PlectrumElectrum · 14/05/2018 17:57

Someone's picked up some Spanish twitter comments on him, & the translation is pure gold

Dr. Adrian Harrop Me has blocked XD (is an Anglo-Saxon doctor pro-Tearia queer/trans, which means it is a misogynistic of the balls)

So there you have it - he's a 'misogynist of the balls' Grin

Pratchet · 14/05/2018 18:05

He's not working as a doctor for the NHS? Why is he all scrubbed up in his pic?

Pip assessor sounds about right tho, power, bullying opportunities. He's still dangerous. Would you like to be a woman with chronic fatigue syndrome whose continued income deoends on him?

Ereshkigal · 14/05/2018 18:12

That's awful. I hate to think of him playing god with vulnerable people's lives.

Pratchet · 14/05/2018 18:15

I know, especially women's lives. I mean someone this callous and obsessed could have a bad day in twitter and take it out on the first woman he sees the next day 😨

Pratchet · 14/05/2018 18:19

I do feel a bit sorry for MNHQ. They must spend a fortune on lawyers and legal training. They have litigious eyes on them 25 hours a day.

NonSuchFun · 14/05/2018 18:31

Yes Pratchet I agree. Perhaps I shouldn’t have repeated what I saw on Twitter re pip assessor as I obviously don’t know if that is true. But regarding the rest someone is digging his own grave. 🤯
