Sounds like Lily Madigan & friends are afraid that Caitlyn Jenner is going to say/state that although ‘I prefer to be called she & feel like a woman & look like a woman, biologically I am male. Surgery etc has allowed me to live my life as a woman albeit a transsexual woman (although my biology is male.)’

This person is - white, straight, male, wealthy. Not born into wealth, but not born into poverty either. Estranged from the stepdaughter who's married to Kanye West. What diversity is this person going to lecture Parliament about?

If Jenner admits to not actually being a woman, presumably we can safely refer to him as "he"?

Given that "he" is the recognised pronoun for persons of the male sex.

But, speaking generally now, if people can demand we adopt whatever pronoun they want, however grammatically incorrect or simply ludicrous, where does that stop? Can they demand we address them as "Your highness" or Napoleon Bonaparte and do we have to comply?

Men who identify as women are simply that.

Madigan and the snouty one are both very cross about it all. Before the end of the week there'll probably be a whole mob of narcissists each outraged that they weren't picked instead.

I swear if I ever get asked what my pronoun is, I will insist on being addressed as Lady PERF. Though, of course, since I am actually a woman, it wouldn’t be long before I would be told that that’s a transphobic pronoun. 🙄

This is about being fair, equal, and showing respect for trans people. Don’t mock us by putting a Trump supporter onstage to “represent” us. Many LGBTQ+ people openly dislike Caitlyn Jenner, and she is no spokesperson for diverse communities. Channel 4 need to stop with the tokenism and give the platform to someone else.

The hypocrisy is astounding. Throwing the rattle out of the pram because they don’t like who represents them, but actual women have no choice. Funny how they’re women until they’re trans, then they’re not like actual women, but still women, and so on and so on, like a merry go round.
